Oklahoma issues offer to 2025 four-star OT Lamont Rogers

Oklahoma sends offer to 2025 four-star OT prospect Lamont Rogers out of Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas.

Bill Bedenbaugh’s coaching and recruiting abilities speak for themselves. While his recruits are never the flashiest or hardly the highest-rated prospects in the country, Bedenbaugh continues to find players that can thrive when they put on the Crimson & Cream.

[autotag]Bill Bedenbaugh[/autotag] signed his highest-rated prospect since 2021 when he landed [autotag]Cayden Green[/autotag], a consensus four-star and top-100 prospect nationwide. Green, an offensive tackle from Missouri, has already enrolled and is taking part in the off-season program.

Bedenbaugh is back on the recruiting trail looking for the offensive line talent of the future. His latest offer goes out to [autotag]Lamont Rogers[/autotag], a 6-foot-6 offensive tackle prospect out of Mesquite, Texas.

Rogers, a four-star prospect from the 2025 class, has incredible size for being just a sophomore in high school. He uses his frame well and has plenty of functional lateral quickness, which has been showcased on the football field and the basketball court. After his sophomore season, Rogers was a Texas District 10-6A first-team selection.

Sooners offer 2025 4-star prospect Lance Jackson

Oklahoma continues to send out offers to 2025 prospects with their latest going out to TE prospect Lance Jackson.

Jeff Lebby outlined his vision for Oklahoma’s offense when he signed on as offensive coordinator. He acknowledged that tight ends would have a prominent role in his scheme. He wasn’t wrong. Brayden Willis had his best year since becoming an Oklahoma Sooner en route to earning an invite to the Senior Bowl as he prepares for the 2023 NFL drafy.

With that level of production, it should make things easier for the Sooners on the recruiting trail. More specifically, it should make it easier to appeal to tight ends. Or at least Lebby hopes so.

He’s already testing that theory by offering four-star 2025 TE/DE Lance Jackson. Jackson, who hails from Texarkana, Texas, is already one of the best players in his class and will be a national name in short order.

Jackson was a Texas District 10-4A DII first-team selection at TE and DE as a sophomore. And the year before, he was a MaxPreps first-team Freshman All-American at tight end.

Early on, Arkanasas may be the team to beat as Jackson’s older brother, Landon, plays defensive end for the Razorbacks.

Tigers ‘stand very high’ for four-star DL prospect after Clemson visit

A 2025 defensive lineman hailing from the Palmetto State made the trip up to Clemson for the Tiger’s 40-10 win over Miami last Saturday in Memorial Stadium. The Clemson Insider caught up with the four-star following the visit to get the latest on his recruitment.

Lake City (S.C.) High School’s Amare Adams visited Clemson following visits to Georgia, South Carolina and Florida State earlier this fall and had nothing but praise for head coach Dabo Swinney and his program.

“It was really nice,” Adams told TCI. “The family vibe and the love they have for their players. They spoke a lot about my future after football. Gave me something to think about.”

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound defensive lineman already sports offers from South Carolina, Florida State and Georgia and while Clemson stands very high at the moment for Adams, only time will tell which program rises to the top.

“All of them have things I like,” the four-star said. “I have a great relationship with the coaches at every school I visit. I guess in time I will start to see what’s best.”

During his time in Tiger Town, Adams experienced all that Clemson has to offer alongside his dad and a family friend, who is a long-time fan of the Tigers.

“My Dad was impressed with how much they spoke on academics,” Adams said. “He said they really care about your future and being a man. Also, he loves that their players aren’t ashamed to put God first.”

Adams was able to speak with multiple members of the Clemson coaching staff while in Death Valley including head coach Dabo Swinney, defensive tackles coach Nick Eason, defensive player development coach Kavell Conner and a few others.

“[They told] me how much they like me,” he said. “And to keep working in the classroom and on the field. How much Coach Swinney loves his players. How much of a family it really is. How coaches on staff are a lot of Clemson guys.”

As for where the Tigers stand after Adam’s visit, the South Carolina native says Clemson stands very high among his options, adding that an offer from Swinney and his staff would be “awesome”.

“They stand very high! I mean it would be awesome,” Adams said. “I am blessed to even be viewed at by them as a guy they could have there in a few years.”

OU, Bedlam to play host to big names with a number of prospects descending on Norman

Oklahoma takes on in-state rival Oklahoma State for Bedlam and will be doing so with a massive group of recruits in attendance. From @thatmanbryant

There’s a fairly significant amount of importance surrounding Bedlam this year. The amount of games left between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State has been reduced significantly with Oklahoma’s impending move to the SEC on the horizon.

We may have 2023 and 2024, but the rivalry will cease as we know it in the next few years. Every game has always mattered but these last few, like the one on Saturday night, will mean a lot more.

Additionally, Oklahoma is fighting for bowl eligibility. They need one more win to participate in 2022’s bowl season.

Lastly and arguably most importantly, Oklahoma has its biggest recruiting weekend of the football season with Oklahoma State coming to town. We’ll revisit 2022 Bedlam several years from now and look back and remember it as a pivotal moment in Oklahoma’s last five to ten years.

There are some big-time names across multiple recruiting classes that will be in attendance for Oklahoma including five-star DT and Texas A&M commit David Hicks and recently dubbed 2024 five-star DT David Stone. More than 20 recruits have already committed to being in Norman, some via social media and others per OUInsider.com.

Oklahoma extends offer to in-state 2025 tight end Nate Roberts

Oklahoma extends an offer to in-state tight end Nate Roberts of the 2025 class.

Oklahoma slowly but surely continues to build its recruiting board for its 2025 class. There’s no better place to do that than within your own backyard. The Sooners’ latest offer went out to rising in-state star Nate Roberts, a tight end from Washington, Oklahoma.

Roberts is a massive athlete for his age, already standing at 6-foot-3 and over 200 pounds. He has lined up all over the field already for his high school team, playing defensive end and quarterback, in addition to tight end. It runs in his family as well, considering his older brother plays tight end at the University of North Texas.

Outside of football, Roberts plays baseball and was part of a 3A state championship-winning team this past spring. Roberts also plays power forward for Washington as well.

So far, he owns offers from Oklahoma, Kentucky, Baylor, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Texas, and Missouri. Early in the 2025 recruiting process, Roberts hasn’t been rated yet by the recruiting services.

With no commitments from tight ends in 2024 or 2025, Oklahoma is already looking to build and cultivate relationships with tight ends for the future. Sooners tight end coach Joe Jon Finley is in the stages of building his recruiting board for the next few years after landing the commitment of Kade McIntyre for 2023.

Roberts joins Davon Mitchell as the only other tight end in the 2025 class with an offer. Mitchell is listed as a five-star with 247Sports.

Alabama basketball offers elite 2025 center with massive wingspan

The Alabama coaching staff recently extended an offer to 2025 center Francis Chukwudebelu.

Nate Oats and the rest of the coaching staff have not been shy in their pursuit of underclassmen. On Thursday, they extended an offer to 2025 center Francis Chukwudebelu.

Chukwudebelu has a wingspan that stretches 7-feet-5-inches. That is rare considering that he is just now entering his sophomore season at Prestonwood Christian Academy (TX). Alabama’s current center, Charles Bediako, has a wingspan that is 7-feet-2-inches.

So far, Alabama has offered five prospects from the 2025 recruiting cycle. Nonetheless, Bediako would be entering his senior season if he chose to stay until then. That would be an interesting duo at the center position in Nate Oats’ offense.

Of course, that is also just a possibility as the Texas native’s recruitment is sure to heat up over the next few years. As for now, he will focus on his sophomore season of high school.

Roll Tide Wire takes a look at Francis Chukwudebelu’s recruiting profile below.

Alabama extends offer to 2025 DL Jourdin Crawford

2025 defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

On Tuesday, the Alabama coaching staff extended an offer to rising 2025 prospect Jourdin Crawford. Alabama became the sixth school to extend an offer to Crawford.

The native of Birmingham, Alabama plays for Parker High School and is an anchor on the defensive line at 6-foot-1, 280 pounds. As a result, schools have already started to take notice of the elite sophomore.

Several other programs like Georgia Tech, Miami, Oklahoma, Michigan, and UCF have offered as well. Crawford still has several years to bring in offers, but Alabama is likely in good standing with the defensive lineman.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Crawford’s recruitment as well as other Alabama football recruiting news.

Alabama lands commitment from 2025 WR and Auburn legacy Ryan Williams

On Saturday, the Crimson Tide landed an in-game commitment from 2025 WR Ryan Williams. He is the Crimson Tide’s first commitment for the 2025 recruiting class.

It isn’t often that you see a former Auburn player’s son committing to in-state rival, Alabama. However, that was the case this past weekend. During the Crimson Tide’s matchup with Texas A&M, 2025 wide receiver Ryan Williams announced his commitment to Alabama via Twitter.

Williams’ father, Ryan Williams Sr., played defensive back at Auburn. That didn’t seem to be much of a factor in making his decision. When asked about why he chose Alabama, here is what Williams told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong:

“Well when I was sitting in Coach (Nick) Saban’s office, you try not to smile in his face and keep all the emotions inside, try to be as humble as possible. But I was blessin’ on the inside,” he said. “He complimented me but also told me I need to get bigger by the time I get there. It’s really great. Everybody buys in. You feel like they want you. Everybody talks to you, everybody knows who you are as soon as you walk into the building.”

From the sound of it, Williams sounds rather excited to become a part of Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class.

Now, Roll Tide Wire will take a look at Ryan Williams’ recruiting profile.

LSU offers 2025 tight end from Georgia

2025 tight end London Merritt recently picked up an offer from LSU. He is currently an unrated prospect.

LSU recently offered 2025 tight end, London Merritt, from Atlanta, Georgia. Merritt plays for the Woodward Academy War Eagles, who are off to a 5-1 start to the 2022 season.

Last season, Woodward Academy finished 12-1 with a loss to Blessed Trinity in the second round of the 5A playoffs. After region realignment, the War Eagles have moved up to 6A and are currently 3-0.

Currently, there is no film for Merritt, as he is just a young player, but by the end of this season, there will be plenty of film on him. Brian Kelly has shown that he loves to use tight ends in running and passing situations.

Merritt will be a name to keep an eye on going forward.
