Tennessee 2024 cornerback will visit Notre Dame in June

The Irish are getting an unofficial

The 2024 recruiting class is still a ways from their signing day, but that doesn’t mean that teams and recruits are waiting to make decisions. The Irish already have two commitments in that cycle, defensive end’s [autotag] Brandon Davis-Swain[/autotag] and [autotag]Owen Wafle[/autotag].

[autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] has been great during his tenure on the recruiting trail and it seems like that is not going to stop anytime soon. Yet another example of this is ‘24 cornerback [autotag]Kaleb Beasley[/autotag], a six-foot-two-inch and 180-pound cornerback who holds offers from the Irish, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn and others announcing today that he will be visiting South Bend on June 5th.

The Tennessee star is not going to be easy to get out of SEC country, but the Irish are making an impression with Beasley. They are one of two non-SEC teams currently on his visit list, the other being Oklahoma. It is still early, but Notre Dame getting a visit is definitely a good sign.

Notre Dame 2024 defensive line target sends Mother’s Day message with Irish twist

Happy Mother’s Day!

The Irish have been absolutely crushing recruiting, not just in the 2023 cycle but also in the 2024 group as well. Recently the offered Illinois defensive tackle Justin Scott a scholarship and that peaked his interested with Notre Dame.

For many prospects spending out a Mothers Day message is special, it’s a chance for them to thank one of their biggest supporters and fans of their academic and athletic achievements. Scott not only Tweeted out a message to this mother, he did so with a Notre Dame banner behind them. It could have just been the latest photo that Scott had taken with his mother or it might be a sign of things to come for the six-foot-five-inch and 300-pound lineman.

Scott, although just a sophomore, has a host of impressive offers aside from the Irish that include Michigan, USC, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others. Although we should not read too much into this post, it is something to watch for as Marcus Freeman’s relationship with Scott continues to grow.

New offer out to 2024 star Illinois wide receiver for Notre Dame

The offers are starting to pick up for this Midwest star

The Irish have a very firm grasp of which prospects in the Midwest will be future stars. They offered one of them earlier today, as Illinois wide receiver Cam Williams was given a verbal scholarship after a call from offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.

I have seen Williams live since his freshman year and he impressed me then. Later seeing him during his sophomore campaign at Glenbard South and it just confirmed what I saw during the camp, with pads on Williams is a high level prospect. Standing at six-foot-two-inches and 180-pounds, the rising junior glides across the field and is a precision route runner.

He grabbed an offer from Iowa during his freshman year and Williams has not stopped since then. Currently holding other offers from Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue, Missouri and others, recruiting is starting to heat up for Williams.

Notre Dame lands their first 2024 commitment after Blue vs. Gold game

BOOOOM!!!!

The Irish have done very well on the recruiting trail since Marcus Freeman arrived on campus and it has not changed one bit since he was elevated to the head coaching position. Actually, it has improved, a drastic change in philosophy since the Brian Kelly era.

The Blue vs. Gold game, or any spring game, is a big draw for many prospects and Freeman wanted to take full advantage of the environment. He did exactly that by securing the first class of 2024 commitment in defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain. The six-foot-four-inch and 230-pound four-star end from Michigan went to Twitter to make his intentions known.

Davis-Swain had already garnered a lot of interest, holding offers from Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Although early in the process, having that kind of Power-5 interest is extremely impressive. He becomes the first 2024 commit for the Irish as they are now off and running in that cycle.

Notre Dame gets a massive crystal ball for 2024 recruiting class

This would be huge

The Irish still do not have a commitment for the 2024 recruiting class but that doesn’t mean they aren’t working hard to get that verbal. There has been a massive change to the Notre Dame recruiting philosophy since Marcus Freeman’s arrival, and not just when he took over for Brian Kelly.

It has been a very positive effect, with Freeman pushing the envelop, and going after players who previously seemed like pipe-dreams including Michigan “legacy” CJ Carr. The grandson of former Wolverine head coach Lloyd Carr is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and you’d expect that he’d be a heavy lean to play for his grandfather’s school.

Well, 247Sports lead recruiter Steve Wiltfong doesn’t think that will be the case, at least at this moment. Today, Wiltfong placed a crystal ball pick for Carr to end up committing to Notre Dame.

I got a chance to see Carr at the Rise and Fire camp last year and as a freshman he was placed into the advance group and did not look like he was out of place.

This is an very interesting development, especially with the potential of another Michigan quarterback, 2023 star Dante Moore, very highly considering the Irish. Both would be huge recruiting wins, along with beating the rival Wolverines for some of their best in-state talents.

Five-star quarterback has a great time visiting Notre Dame

Another five-star quarterback visiting South Bend

The Irish are going hard after some of the best quarterback prospects in the nation, regardless of class. They are pursuing Michigan five-star Dante Moore in the 2023 class and Marcus Freeman is not stopping there. California 2024 five-star quarterback Julian Sayin looks to be their top target in that class.

Sayin is two years away from enrolling but that is not stopping him from taking a look at some schools this spring. He made it to South Bend on Friday, just like it had been scheduled and according to his post on Twitter, Sayin seemed to have a very good visit.

The quarterback made the visit with one of his teammates, 2023 athlete Nico Arboit. They both are taking a look at Notre Dame but also they made a visit to Ann Arbor. The Irish are going hard after Sayin and getting him on campus can be seen as a great start to a hopefully long relationship.

Alabama extends offer to top LB in 2024 class Sammy Brown

Alabama officially offers the top-ranked LB from the 2023 recruiting class.

With the 2022 class finalized and some of them already being on campus, Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide football program turn their focus to recruiting the 2023 class with interesting in the 2024 class.

Yesterday, the top linebacker in the 2024 recruiting cycle, [autotag]Sammy Brown[/autotag], received an offer while visiting the University of Alabama campus.

Brown has received interest and offers from numerous other big-time programs.

The Georgia-native is not currently expected to be leaning or favoring a certain school over another.

With two more seasons of high school football remaining for Brown, he has plenty of time left before he has to make a decision. A player of his caliber will definitely receive more offers and have the opportunity to take more visits.

Georgia 2024 safety gets Notre Dame scholarship offer

Kyle Hamilton part II???

It’s safe to say that the Irish have done well recruiting the Peach State, with more than a few recruits committing from Georgia in the last few years. One of the biggest clearly was safety Kyle Hamilton, who is expected to be a first-round draft pick later this month.

Notre Dame’s recruiting prowess in one of the most talent rich states in the country is a good development and they used that clout today as they offered 2024 safety Ricardo Jones a scholarship today. His frame will remind us of Hamilton’s, checking in a six-foot-three-inches and 200-pounds as a rising junior.

The Irish offer is just added to Jones early impressive list which includes Tennessee, Nebraska, Auburn and Georgia Tech. He recently visited Georgia, Tennessee and Auburn. Jones recruiting is starting to heat up and the Irish putting their hat in early should be seen as a very positive development.

Another big time visitor for Notre Dame confirms plans for this weekend

The Irish bring in yet another very impressive athlete

The Irish are keeping up with recruiting by bringing in some of the most talented players across the country to check out some of their spring practices. Some of the commits have been steadily heading to South Bend, while others, most notably Dante Moore have been stopping by for visits.

You can add another name to the list of visitors as Aneyas Williams announced that he will be visiting Notre Dame this coming Saturday, April second. The Missouri 2024 athlete could end up playing either running back or wide receiver, his five-foot-eleven-inch and 200-pound frame allows him to be extremely versatile.

Williams has been visiting multiple schools these past few weeks, having already trekked out to Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri. Although he currently does not hold an offer from the Irish, with this visit that could be in the cards this weekend.

Rivals: Notre Dame is recruiting Louisiana ‘24 linebacker more than others

The Irish have turned up the heat early with this linebacker

The Irish are in the mix for so many elite talents in the 2023 and 2024 class, it’s really hard to keep track of them. It seems like every day another prospect pops up on the radar and Notre Dame is in the mix. This is a credit to Marcus Freeman, changing the style when he arrived on campus and elevating it when he took over as the head coach.

In a report by Rivals at their camp series in Louisiana, “Notre Dame is recruiting the 2024 three-star linebacker (Kolaj Corbin) from Destrehan the hardest.” The Irish still have competition for Corbin’s verbal pledge, as they noted that Purdue, Florida State, Michigan, Ole Miss and Houston are all involved in his recruitment.

Corbin is looking to visit South Bend during the summer, so we will get a much better handle on where his recruitment is headed in the coming months.
