Which active NFL quarterbacks have won a Super Bowl?

With the 2024 Super Bowl on the way, we’ll soon know which NFL quarterbacks will join the eternal list of Super Bowl champions.

There are a good number of active NFL quarterbacks who have been part of Super Bowl wins with various franchises, whether as starters or backups.

We’ve gone through recent Super Bowls and tallied up which active NFL players have championship rings, with some of them obvious (Patrick Mahomes) and some of them a bit surprising (Blaine Gabbert).

We’ve included players who were on NFL rosters for the 2023 season, which would exclude someone like Nick Foles, who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018 but didn’t play in the NFL this past season.

Let’s dive in to see which active quarterbacks have won the Super Bowl.

Japanese Embassy confirms Taylor Swift will make it to Las Vegas in time for Super Bowl 58 in album reference-filled statement

Taylor Swift will be in Japan for the Eras Tour the day before the game, but the embassy assured her the trip back for the game is feasible.

Taylor Swift is expected to be in attendance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Feb. 11 for Super Bowl 58 to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as they look to capture back-to-back world championship titles.

There’s only one slight hangup: Swift is going to be out of the country until the day night the game.

The pop superstar is currently in the international portion of her epic, nearly two-year-long Eras Tour and will be playing nightly concerts at the Tokyo Dome in Japan from Feb. 7-10.

That’s cutting things a bit close with a trans-Pacific flight, but Swift was given an official guarantee that the math works out from the Japanese Embassy in Washington, D.C., which released a statement filled with not-so-subtle references to some of her albums.

Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.

We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.

Swift’s relationship with Kelce has been one of the NFL’s most prominent off-field storylines this season and has brought in a new audience for the league. And fans can rest assured that a red-eye flight is all it’s going to take for Swift to be back in the States in time for the Super Bowl.

Tony Romo finally explained why he calls Taylor Swift Travis Kelce’s ‘wife’ on the air all the time

Does this mean Tony Romo will stop calling Taylor Swift Travis Kelce’s “wife”?

Anytime CBS’s Tony Romo has been on the mic this season for a Kansas City Chiefs game that Taylor Swift has attended, he’s kept up calling her Travis Kelce’s “wife.”

Swift, as far as we know, isn’t engaged to the Chiefs tight end … yet.

Romo and his broadcasting partner Jim Nantz will be calling the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and with Swift likely attending, we’ll see if we get another “wife” reference.

But in speaking with reporters this week, Romo revealed what the deal was with those references: as expected, it’s a joke. Here’s what he said this week, via CBS Sports:

“It’s a joke,” Romo said. “Someone did that to me back in the day. … People come up to me all the time (asking), ‘What do you know?’ People love it and go crazy for it.

“It’s Taylor. She’s just as big a personality as anybody in the world right now. I think it’s a great thing that she’s at football games. I think it just adds value, and I think our team does it the right way. … It just comes out organically.”

Nick Bosa cast some brutal shade at the Chiefs’ offensive tackles ahead of Super Bowl matchup

Nick Bosa is not afraid to throw some shade at the Chiefs.

As if a Super Bowl needs any additional fire for either team, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has provided some bulletin-board material for the Kansas City Chiefs.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Bosa was asked what he thinks about the Chiefs’ two tackles, Donovan Smith and Jawaan Taylor, with the latter known for his in-game penalties.

Well, Bosa gave a very blunt, quick answer about his feelings on the Kansas City offensive linemen.

“They hold a lot,” Bosa quipped in response to the question.

If that doesn’t fire up the Chiefs tackles in their upcoming Super Bowl matchup against Bosa, we’re really not sure what will.

To be fair to Bosa, former NFL offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz, who played for Kansas City, agreed with the former’s assessment.

Even if Bosa isn’t technically wrong, the Chiefs are going to take this response and run with it. Honestly, wouldn’t you if you were Kansas City?

CBS will have ‘Doink cameras’ for Super Bowl 2024 in the goalposts and NFL fans are pumped

We’re getting “Doink cams” at Super Bowl 58 thanks to CBS.

In any NFL game, there are cameras everywhere — above, below, in pilons at the goal line, on the first down marker, you name it.

But now? With CBS broadcasting Super Bowl 58 between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, we’re getting a whole new set of cameras: It’s time to meet DOINK CAM.

That’s the nickname for them. CBS is putting multiple cameras — six, to be exact, embedded in the goalposts at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — in the goal posts so you can see the footballs passing by … or maybe hitting one of the yellow posts, if we’re lucky, so we can see a true DOINK happen.

Here’s the announcement, along with some reaction from NFL fans:

3 brilliant decisions that got the Chiefs to Super Bowl 58

Here are the smartest moves the Chiefs made to get back to the Super Bowl.

While some may not be happy with the result, the Kansas City Chiefs earned every bit of their fourth AFC title in six seasons. They are the NFL’s gold standard, the team that knows how to flip on the switch in mid-January and play a brand of almost unimpeachable football.

Should Patrick Mahomes’ team capture its third Super Bowl in as many years, talks of a dynasty will start to brew. Travis Kelce’s name will rightfully be more consistently invoked in “GOAT” tight end conversations. And the legendary Andy Reid might retire after everything he’s accomplished as a coach.

But that’s a bridge to cross for another day.

For now, we should recount how the Chiefs, once again, won the AFC championship and put themselves in position to be the NFL’s first back-to-back Super Bowl champion in two decades. Here are the smartest steps they took to get to the 2024 Super Bowl.

3 brilliant decisions that got the 49ers to Super Bowl 58

Here are the smartest moves the 49ers made to clinch a trip to the Super Bowl.

The San Francisco 49ers are accustomed to playing in big games. They’ve made a trip to the NFC title game in four of the last six seasons and are rightfully considered a perennial championship contender.

Considering how poorly Super Bowl 54 went, Super Bowl 58 carries extra weight. For established superstars that fell just short last time against the Kansas City Chiefs — namely, All-Pros Trent Williams and Nick Bosa — it’s a chance at redemption. In time, it might even be a coronation for Kyle Shanahan, the NFL’s finest offensive mind and play-caller who has been to this stage multiple times but never gotten over the hump.

But these are stories that will only be sorted out on Super Bowl Sunday. We have time to digest them.

For now, it’s worth tracking how San Francisco made it back to the biggest event in American sports. Let’s look at the three smartest decisions the 49ers made that helped lead them to Las Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 58 ticket prices: Comparing the cost 5 secondary market as the countdown begins

A look at the secondary ticket market for Super Bowl 58.

Let’s say you’re a Kansas City Chiefs or San Francisco 49ers fan and you want to go see them play in Super Bowl 58. Or! You want a glimpse of Taylor Swift who could be celebrating on the Allegiant Stadium field in Las Vegas by the end of the night.

If so, you’ve come to the right place. Because we’ve decided to put together a snapshot of secondary market ticket prices as the runup to the 2024 Super Bowl begins.

This is as of Monday afternoon, 13 days before the big game, and we’ll revisit this later as the clock ticks down to February 11:

Patrick Mahomes’ dad masterfully roasted Lamar Jackson and rattled off a bold Chiefs Super Bowl prediction

Pat Mahomes Sr. is a treasure.

Pat Mahomes Sr. has never lacked confidence, and with his son, Patrick Mahomes, headed to the Super Bowl, he’s not about to start now.

Beloved former New York Mets pitcher Patrick Mahomes Sr. is the father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. And when your son is that THAT Pat Mahomes, it’s hard not to be proud. Mahomes has been to the AFC Championship every year of his career in Kansas City and is now headed to his fourth Super Bowl in five years. At just 28 years old, he’s accomplished things that most NFL quarterbacks don’t experience during their careers.

After Mahomes put on a clinic against the Ravens, Patrick Sr. had the Lamar Jackson jokes ready with his trademark victory cigar.

But that wasn’t all he said. Patrick Sr. also made a bold but believable prediction about his son’s future.

Why you may not see ‘How many times will Taylor Swift be shown?’ Super Bowl 58 props

There’s a good reason for this.

Let the Super Bowl 58 betting begin.

But here’s a PSA (and also: I learned something today!): If you want to bet on how many times CBS’s broadcast will show Taylor Swift during the big game with an over/under — I’ll say it’s 5.5 and take the over, but not by much! — it may not be that easy.

But why is that? We’ve seen plenty of those Super Bowl prop bets when it comes to significant others … haven’t we? It turns out that maybe making a prop like that is trickier than it seems, because a CBS producer could theoretically bet their life savings on the bet and manipulate it, as Darren Rovell pointed out:

In case you’re wondering.
