See where Johnny Davis lands in CBS latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft

See where Johnny Davis lands in CBS latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft:

After being named a consensus first-team All-American, Big Ten Player of the Year, and the Lute Olson National Player of the Year, sophomore guard Johnny Davis decided it was time to take his talents to the NBA.

CBS Sports college basketball columnist Garry Parrish’s most recent 2022 mock draft had the La Crosse (Wis.) native being selected 8th overall to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The former La Crosse Central standout led the Badgers in scoring and rebounding, finishing his sophomore season averaging 19.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

A projected lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, Davis is set to become the first Badger drafted since Frank Kaminsky (9th overall) and Sam Dekker (18th overall) were selected in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Ohio State guard Malaki Branham a fast riser in NBA mock draft

Do you think Malaki Branham is off to the NBA?

Now that the Ohio State basketball season is over, it’s time to focus on a couple of players that will be potential first-round NBA draft picks in 2022. We already know that E.J. Liddell is passing on his senior season to enter the draft, but we’re still waiting on a decision by freshman guard Malaki Branham.

Despite a slow start to the season, Branham really came into his own through the second half of the season, showing explosiveness and a varied game that should play well at the next level. He quickly became OSU’s second most reliable scoring option and even had some coaches calling him the best player on Ohio State’s team.

With his improved game, the NBA types have started to take notice, and with it, so too have all the mock drafts out there. In fact, one, in particular, has him as a top ten pick.

For the Win updated its 2022 NBA mock draft and it had some updated slots and commentary about both Branham and Liddell. Here’s what Bryan Kalbrosky had to say about both Ohio State stars and why Brahnham is moving up the boards.

Latest NBA mock draft has a pair Alabama players selected

Where does ESPN’s latest NBA mock draft have JD Davison and Keon Ellis projected?

Much like the NFL, mock drafts for the NBA are updated almost daily. Also like football, Alabama is becoming increasingly represented on the mock draft scene.

Early Wednesday morning, ESPN released its all-new NBA two-round mock draft (subscription required) and it featured a pair of Alabama players in freshman guard JD Davison and senior guard/forward Keon Ellis.

Davison is currently projected to be selected by the Miami Heat with pick No. 27 of the first round. If Davison indeed enters the draft and is selected in the first round that would put the Crimson Tide having a first-round pick in three out of the last four NBA drafts.

Ellis is projected to be a second-round selection and No. 49 overall by the New Orleans Pelicans. If Ellis is selected by the Pelicans, he would join fellow former Alabama players Herbert Jones and Kira Lewis Jr. in New Orleans.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to monitor the draft status of both JD Davison and Keon Ellis.
