Seahawks rule out SS Jamal Adams vs. Giants (concussion)

In the first defensive series for Seattle against the Giants, Adams made a stop but paid a price for it.

The Seahawks had to wait a year and a month to get their star strong safety Jamal Adams back on the field tonight after he tore his quad Week 1 in 2022. It seems once again Adams has been snake-bitten in his return.

In the first defensive series for Seattle against the Giants, Adams made a stop but paid a price for it. Daniel Jones was scrambling away from pressure when Adams went low and upended him, but took a knee to the helmet in the process.

Adams was clearly dazed afterwards and was taken to the blue medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion.

Adams is now being led off to the locker room.

You just have to feel awful for Adams at this point. We’d rather they play it safe whenever a potential concussion is involved, but hopefully he’s able to get through a full season healthy.

It’s 0-0 midway through the first quarter.

Update:

The team has ruled out Adams for the rest of the game.
