Roschon Johnson, Moro Ojomo among top draft prospects available on Day 2

Roschon Johnson and Moro Ojomo are among CBS Sports’ top draft prospects available on Day 2.

The first round of the 2023 NFL draft certainly had its fair share of surprises.

With that being the case, several highly rated prospects have unexpectedly fallen into the second round. Penn State cornerback Joey Porter, Kentucky quarterback Will Levis and Notre Dame tight end Michael Mayer are just a few names that come to mind.

While the Texas Longhorns were only projected to have one first-round pick in Bijan Robinson, who was indeed taken off of the board No. 8 to the Atlanta Falcons, they do have a few rising prospects to keep an eye on Friday night.

Texas running back Roschon Johnson and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo are among CBS Sports’ best prospects available on Day 2 of the NFL draft. Johnson is rated their No. 79 player in the draft and Ojomo is just behind at No. 81.

Johnson is widely projected to be selected in the third round, with common destinations including the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills. Ojomo has also been projected in the third round of several NFL mock drafts. The Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets could be two teams to watch for him.
