Report: Ohio State will host transfer linebacker this week

A very interesting development that hopefully goes the Buckeyes way #GoBucks

According to a report by 247Sports’ Bill Kurelic, [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] will host former Northwestern linebacker [autotag]Nigel Glover[/autotag] for an official visit.

Glover entered the portal shortly after the Northwestern fiasco regarding hazing which led to the firing of head coach Pat Fitzgerald. As a 2023 recruit from Northmont High School in Ohio, the 6-foot, 3-inch, 210-pound linebacker did not receive an Ohio State offer. He was ranked as a 4-star, the 30th at his position, and 335th overall prospect in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He held multiple other offers from Big Ten programs before settling on Northwestern. I believed that the Buckeyes would go after a different Wildcat linebacker, [autotag]Justin Cryer[/autotag], but he recently committed to Florida State.

With the miss of California linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa and [autotag]Edwin Spillman[/autotag], it was pretty obvious that the coaching staff would turn their focus to the portal.

Hopefully Glover’s visit to Ohio State and the opportunity to see the field early results in a BOOM for the Buckeyes. He is also planning on visiting Kentucky, Michigan, and Michigan State.
