Defensive line: C-
The defensive line performed as well as their offensive counterparts. Throughout the entire game the line was dominated by the Patriots. The Bills weren’t creating enough push, and the Patriots offense feasted. New England had 143 rushing yards on 34 attempts, an average of 4.2 yards per carry.
Running back Sony Michel benefited from the poor play, he had 21 carries for 96 yards an average of 4.6 yards per carry. He helped create balance for New England, which set up a lethal play action pass attack.
The defensive line also didn’t generate a pass rush either, which let Tom Brady pick the defense apart. Brady finished the game 26 of 33 for 271 yards and one touchdown. Brady was getting the ball out extremely fast, it should be noted as well.
