PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia 76ers continued their preseason schedule on Wednesday when they played host to the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers. Following a successful preseason opener in Brooklyn, the Sixers were looking to see more out of their team as they moved forward.
They were able to debut their new starting lineup on Wednesday as James Harden, Joel Embiid, and PJ Tucker all moved back into the lineup after sitting out on Monday. Despite their return, the player who continues to steal the show is Tyrese Maxey who finished with 21 points on 9-for-11 shooting and he knocked down all three triples in 15 minutes.
The Sixers took the game by a score of 113-112 to improve to 2-0 in preseason play. Embiid had 12 points and six rebounds, Harden had nine points and five assists, and Harris had nine points. De’Anthony Melton added 11 points and four rebounds, Shake Milton added 12 points, four rebounds, and four assists, Montrezl Harrell had 13 points, and Paul Reed had five and six rebounds.
