Black stripe alert!

Ohio State gained a huge win when it earned a commitment from Tywone Malone out of the transfer portal this year. Malone seems to be fitting in with the Buckeyes just fine because he became the newest member of the Rushmen on Saturday by shedding his black stripe.

Malone comes to Columbus from Ole Miss where he was a two-sport star on the football and baseball fields. He appeared sparingly for the Rebel baseball team but made the most of his opportunities hitting two home runs and collecting four RBIs in nine at-bats. Malone is leaving the diamond behind and focusing on improving his skills on the gridiron.

Malone left Ole Miss with 13 tackles, two sacks and two pass deflections over the course of two seasons in Oxford.

Malone will have two years of eligibility left for the Bucks and will add much-needed depth on the defensive line.
