Ohio State’s game against Penn State to be night game

Ohio State’s second game of the year against Penn State will be a night game according to a release on Monday. It will be televised by ABC.

We probably could have figured this one out, but it looks like Ohio State’s second game of the season against Penn State on the road will be a night affair.

You can usually pencil that in as a certainty on the even years when the Buckeyes head to Happy Valley, but what’ll be different this time around is that the whiteout will be wiped out because of the policy of not having fans in the stands by the Big Ten.

And look, while that clearly benefits Ohio State, there’s something to be said about walking into the Lions’ den (literally) with all those fans whipped into a frenzy and walking out the other side with a victory. Fan of Penn State or not, it’s a great environment and I for one am a little sad we won’t get to see it be a staple of college football in 2020.

Regardless, according to a schedule release, it does appear that ABC will be televising what could be the most important game of the Big Ten season on Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Set your DVRs now, preorder the pizza, and get the drinks on ice.
