You know by now that the recruiting cycles overlap. Just when one is being put to bed, the other is getting off the ground. Even more than that, the following year’s crop is being game-planned and organized. It’s just the nature of the beast at a school like Ohio State.
With that in mind, OSU has started to offer some of the 2023 prospects out there. The latest is one of the top wide receivers in the entire class out of IMG Academy in Florida, 4-star Carnell Tate. It’s still early, but he’s already ranked as the No. 7 receiver and 47th prospect overall according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He announced the offer on his Twitter account and appeared to be over the moon, calling Ohio State his dream school.
Extremely blessed to receive an offer from my dream school, THE Ohio State University! #GoBuck đ°đ´@brianhartline @CoachKee pic.twitter.com/7yd4ZcZ3tb

Tate already has offers from a lot of the big boys out there including Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas, and more. That means the competition for his services will be heavy, but with OSU being called out as his dream school, you have to like the Buckeyes’ chances.
We’ll keep tracking this as the efforts on his recruitment continue.
