NFL players create ‘We Want to Play’ movement on social media to address the lack of planning from the NFL on COVID-19 safety measures

Many prominent NFL players took to the social media airwaves on Sunday to create and heavily promote a unified message:

We Want to Play.

The message is directed to fans, but squarely aimed at the NFL and the league’s inability to create safeguards or come up with a unified plan to handle a return to football in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Led by NFLPA President and Cleveland Browns center JC Tretter, a virtual All-Pro team offered pointed complaints and concerns over the reported opening of training camps on schedule.
