One of the reasons kids come to play at Ohio State is so that they can participate in The Game — the annual border war between the Buckeyes and Wolverines. And even though OSU has not only owned but rented out the rivalry like a cheap timeshare — winning 15 of the last 16 — it’s still considered the biggest rivalry in all of American sport by most objective observers.
That brings us to one of the biggest recruiting wins for Ohio State in the 2021 class, five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson out of Hopewell, VA. Henderson had an Instagram post that captioned the “most excited team to play against in college,” and he shared a picture of former Buckeye running back J.K. Dobbins scoring against Michigan last season — one in which Dobbins seemed to “dunk” on TTUN DB Josh Metellus right at the goal line.
A user took a screenshot of the post and shared it to Twitter, and that caught the attention of Henderson. He retweeted it with a simple emoji response that seemed to let us all know that he’ll have something special in mind for Michigan when he gets to be a part of all the fun.
I mean, by that time, what’s winning 17 out of the last 18 among friends — er arch-rivals.
