Big-bodied wide receiver Collin Johnson will be sorely missed at Texas.
Johnson was selected 165th overall in the fifth round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2020 NFL draft. He was the second receiver from Texas taken off of the board as teammate Devin Duvernay was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round.
The fact that Johnson was still available that late in the draft was an absolute steal. The 6-foot-6, 222-pound playmaker will be the team’s biggest receiver when he steps on the field as a rookie.
Although Johnson faces a tough battle of climbing the depth chart with the Jaguars, his size and catch radius will catch your attention immediately. Fortunately, fans were able to get a glimpse of that when Johnson posted a few pictures of himself competing throughout camp.
I feel like we’ve seen this before 👀

Johnson suffered injuries throughout his collegiate career, but his most productive season at Texas came in 2018. As a junior, he appeared in 13 games with 12 starts. He finished the year with 68 catches for 985 yards and seven touchdowns.
There have been nothing but positive reviews of Johnson out of Jacksonville thus far.
