Longhorns Wire Roundtable: What would you like to see from Texas in final two games?

Longhorns Wire staff members discuss what they’d like to see from Texas in the final two regular-season games.

Let’s look at the optimistic side of things today.

Texas doesn’t have much to play for after losing to Iowa State on Nov. 27. Its Big 12 title hopes are out of reach barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The Longhorns star left tackle Samuel Cosmi has decided to opt out of the final two regular-season games to prepare for the 2021 NFL draft. It appears Texas has closed the book on this year, but there are still a few things to keep an eye on in the final two games against Kansas and Kansas State.

Can Texas find some consistency on offense? Will it finally beat the opponents they’re clearly more talented than? Could we see additional playing time for younger players?

It’s time for the Longhorns to start looking at what they have for 2021, whether head coach Tom Herman remains with the program or not. Take a look at what each Longhorns Wire staff member hopes to see from Texas to close out the season.
