There’s no doubt that the Red River Rivalry is one of the most anticipated meetings in College Football each season. The players, coaches and fans have an intense sense of hatred towards the opposing team every single day of the week. This isn’t just an in-state rivalry, this showdown has to be played on a neutral field. The shootout is located at the Cotton Bowl stadium during the State Fair of Texas each year in October.
The rich history and tradition of this particular matchup is unmatched. In recent seasons, it’s been a critical indicator of which team will have the best chance to win the Big 12. Regardless of which program receives the Golden Hat trophy, it will remain one of the most talked about games for years to come.
