Analysis: After two years of waiting, Brennan Eagles is going to have his opportunity to shine as Texas’ No. 1 receiver. Listed at 6-4 and 230 pounds, he will be a perfect replacement for Collin Johnson.

A top 10 receiver in the country coming out of high school, Eagles had offers from schools such as Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State. Since arriving on campus in 2018, he has had just over 550 yards and finished third on the team in receiving yards last season.

Now, Sam Ehlinger is expected to have a new favorite target in Eagles. As the primary receiver in the offense, Eagles could blossom into one of the top players in the conference. With talents such as Jordan Whittington, Jake Smith, and Marcus Washington around him, Eagles will be a top breakout candidate on the offensive side of the ball in 2020.
