Lady Vols defeat Georgia State, remain unbeaten

Lady Vols remain unbeaten with win over Georgia State.

The Lady Vols kept its unbeaten record intact Sunday with a victory over Georgia State.

No. 9 Tennessee (9-0) boasted a balanced attack, defeating Georgia State, 84-60, at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Lady Vols had five players post double figures in the scoring column against the Panthers (4-5).

Tamari Key and Jordan Horston each finished with a double-double for Tennessee, which held a 23-15 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Key led all scorers in the game with 16 points. She also had 11 rebounds for the Lady Vols, who extended its advantage to 42-24 by halftime.

Horston totaled 10 points and 10 rebounds. Keyen Green added 14 points and seven rebounds for UT, which hosts No. 4 Stanford, the defending national champion Saturday at 5:15 p.m. EST.

Sara Puckett recorded 12 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Vols, while Brooklynn Miles finished with 11 points.

Taniyah Worth led Georgia State with 13 points.
