History of Ohio State football players from each slot in the first round of the NFL draft

We highlight every Ohio State football player that was ever selected within the top 32 slots of the NFL draft. Queue the memories.

FThe first round of the 2021 NFL draft kicks off on Thursday in Cleveland, Ohio, and as all Ohio State fans know, the Buckeyes have a rich history of stars being selected in the top round. This year there is only one obvious candidate to receive the honor of being selected in the first round and that is Justin Fields, but there have been years in the past where Ohio State has dominated. In 2016, there were five Buckeyes drafted in the first round and they were all in the top 20.

We here at Buckeyes Wire love to dive into the rich history of Ohio State and we wanted to provide a breakdown of every Buckeye that was selected from pick number one to pick number 32. It is important to remember that the number of picks in the first round has expanded since the start of the league and therefore some players on this list may have been selected at number 32 but were technically third rounders. For example Chris Spielman was selected with the 29th overall pick, but that was in the second round in 1988.
