Four landing spots in the 2020 NFL Draft for Devin Duvernay

Because of Duvernay’s stellar season, he has shot up on many NFL Draft boards. Here are four potential landing spots for Devin Duvernay:

Green Bay Packers

Much like Tom Brady and the Patriots, Aaron Rodgers just needs another weapon. Star wideout Devante Adams has been one of the best in the NFL once again this season, even while he was suffering from a few injuries. Once you look past him, there is not much for Rodgers to throw to.

Second and third receivers Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are 6 feet 5 inches and 6 feet 4 inches respectively. What the Packers do not have is a shorter guy that can play in the slot. The role used to be filled by Randall Cobb, but he has moved on. Green Bay did not replace Cobb via free agency or the 2019 NFL Draft, so selecting Duvernay would make sense for them.

Throwing a late Day 2/Day 3 guy into a starting wide receiver role may be tough, but Rodgers is still one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Working with Head Coach Matt Lefleur, Duvernay would slot perfectly into what the Packers need. A smaller, slot guy who has the ability to be a reliable short distance receiver for Aaron Rodgers.
