The Philadelphia Eagles have made another roster move that benefits a former Spartan this afternoon when the team announced Raequan Williams was promoted to the active roster. Earlier this week, Williams’ former Michigan State teammate Joe Bachie was signed by the organization.

This is the second time this season Williams has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. In his first stint, Williams played in two games for the Eagles, recording 3 tackles.

Following his redshirt season as a freshman, Raequan Williams spent four years as a key contributor on the Michigan State defensive line from 2016-2019. Williams was a member of the All-Big Ten team for his performance in his junior and senior seasons. Williams went undrafted in to 2020 NFL Draft but signed with the Eagles quickly after the draft.

The Philadelphia Eagles face off against the New Orleans Saints at 4:25 p.m. EST. on Sunday.
