First glimpse of former Texas WR Devin Duvernay in Ravens uniform

Former Texas wide receiver Devin Duvernay showed off a picture of himself in the full Ravens uniform on Instagram.

The Baltimore Ravens made a tremendous decision when they chose to select former Texas wide receiver Devin Duvernay with the No. 92 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Duvernay brings big-time speed and production at the position. Throughout his breakout senior season with the Longhorns, he caught 106 passes for 1,386 yards and nine touchdowns. It was enough to earn first team All-Big 12 honors, finishing with the fifth-most receiving yards in the country.

He excels in the slot and has a chance to fight for a starting role nearly immediately in Baltimore. General Manager Eric DeCosta mentioned Duvernay as one of his “very favorite guys this year in the draft.”

The Ravens were focused on adding more speed to their offense, but Duvernay is the entire package. He didn’t miss a single game throughout his four-year tenure at Texas and presents a high character, competitive nature on and off the field. He also has reliable hands, dropping only one pass as a Longhorn.

Although he will be missed at Texas, fans are excited to watch him excel at the next level. It appears Duvernay is eager to get back on the field as well, posting two pictures of himself in the full Ravens uniform on Instagram.

Baltimore appears to be the perfect landing spot for Duvernay and he sure looks sharp in those colors. Of all Texas players who have made the transition to the NFL this year, Duvernay is expected to make the most noise across the league.
