We’re in the part of the college football season where we get to debate rankings that really mean something. Of course, we’re talking about the College Football Playoff rankings that don’t come out until we’re more than halfway through the season.
We got a peek at the first release last Tuesday for a baseline to begin all of our arguments and forecasts, and now, we know what the second installment of the CFP rankings is thanks to the reveal on ESPN.
One of the things that the CFP committee has done since its inception is to be available to provide commentary and answer questions on how the ranking process went and what went into it. It was the same after Week 2 of the rankings when College Football Playoff Selection Committee chair, Boo Corrigan, made himself available on a call for the media.
