As we continue to get closer and closer to the NFL Draft, teams will continue to breakdown down who they expect players to be, especially quarterbacks like [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag]’s [autotag]C.J. Stroud[/autotag].
The most important position in all of sports is just viewed differently than others — and rightfully so. People want to compare the current crop of quarterbacks to ones they’ve seen before and ESPN’s Matt Bowen has made his comparisons (subscription required).
Bowen looked at his top four signal callers and gave them each a comp. He believes that Stroud resembles former Atlanta Falcon and Indianapolis Colt [autotag]Matt Ryan[/autotag]. The 2016 NFL MVP holds multiple Falcon passing records and has had a very solid career.
Personally, I’m not a fan of comps, each player has their own unique characteristics and qualities like Stroud’s third-level accuracy and touch that Bowen points out as his best trait.
Who do you think Stroud’s career will most likely emulate during his time in the NFL?
