Eagles’ Jason Kelce on Cam Jurgens being his favorite player in the NFL draft

Philadelphia Eagles’ legendary center Jason Kelce on second-round pick Cam Jurgens being his favorite player in the NFL draft

The Eagles drafted Nebraska center Cam Jurgens in the second round with the 51st pick in the draft and they didn’t have to worry about asking Jason Kelce for permission.

Philadelphia team officials have had Kelce scouting prospects over the past two seasons and on Friday night while working the draft for Bleacher Report, Kelce referred to Jurgens as the closest comparison to himself in the draft.

The Eagles All-Pro even referred to Jurgens as his favorite player in the draft on Friday night.

There’s been some discussion among fans and pundits about the pick, but Jurgens adds value to the roster and he’ll get an opportunity to learn from Kelce as a rookie, something that’ll be invaluable for his career.

While meeting with the media just now, Jurgen says that he models his game after Kelce, highlighting that impressive athletic ability that the Eagles center plays with.

Philadelphia admittedly is still in rebuild mode and they’ve continued to fortify the league’s top offensive line for years to come.
