Packers to host a joint practice with Ravens in Green Bay during training camp

The Green Bay Packers will host the Baltimore Ravens for a joint practice this summer in Green Bay Mike LaFleur announced

Packers head coach Mike LaFleur announced on Tuesday that Baltimore will travel to Green Bay this summer to play their final preseason game and participate in one likely to be an intense joint practice session.

Green Bay will have one single joint practice with the Broncos in Denver before hosting Baltimore for one day of intense sessions.

Joint practice sessions are usually two-day affairs, but LaFleur said it becomes an “MMA fight” on the second day of joint practices, using last year with New England as an example.

For Baltimore, it’ll give Lamar Jackson one intense tune-up session against elite competition before the team kicks off the regular season in Kansas City against the Chiefs.

Ravens have one unique advantage in 2024 regular season scheduling

rest is one aspect of the Baltimore Ravens schedule that really works out in their favor.

When the Baltimore Ravens 2024 schedule was released, much was made over the three games in 10 10-day stretch. Kyle Hamilton even did an X post about it.

While that December stretch will indeed be challenging, rest is one aspect of the Ravens’ schedule that actually works out in their favor.

Kyle Hamilton is pumped for 3 games in a ten day stretch

Kyle Hamilton speaks out about Ravens 3 games in a ten day stretch

The Baltimore Ravens 2024 schedule has all kinds of interesting quirks and unique anomalies. However, it is the three games in just ten days stretch that seems to be getting the most attention.

The Ravens will visit the New York Giants on December 15th, then welcome in the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 21st before traveling to the Houston Texans on December 25th.

And Baltimore star safety Kyle Hamilton is here for it…kind of!

When the schedule was released yesterday he alluded to this specific stretch by posting “let’s get to it” along with a very popular meme, as he quote-tweeted the official team account’s schedule graphic.

Yes, tired Popeye’s worker lady has become internet shorthand for saying “hard work that makes one tired,” so kudos to Hamilton on this one. He’s got the right attitude, and the fans will certainly take note of it.

The former Notre Dame star is not just developing into quite possibly the best safety in football.

He’s also on point with his social media game.

Chargers announce Harbaugh Bowl with hilarious animation

As the annual release of the NFL schedule continues to really become “a thing,” we’re seeing teams get more creative by the year.

As the annual release of the NFL schedule continues to become “a thing,” we’re seeing teams get more creative by the year.

Last year, the Tennessee Titans may have won this contest with their hysterical man-on-the-street style video showcasing the ignorance of bargoers on Broadway in Nashville.

Their “sequel” this year was very solid as well.

There was a lot of creativity all around the league this year, but the L.A. Chargers may have been the champs this time around with their Sims game-style animated video.

It even pays homage to the ’23 Titans video (in which a random person on Broadway referred to the Ravens as the “Baltimore Orioles”), which was deemed the most incredible schedule release video ever.

However, the best part pertains to the Harbaugh Bowl, or Harbowl, which takes place on Monday Night Football in week 12.

It depicts the Harbaugh brothers, as children, jumping on their beds in their shared room.

It then flashes forward to the present day, where Jim and John Harbaugh are now their current ages and engaged in a voracious pillow fight.

Funny stuff indeed!

Note that the computer on John’s side of the room displays a tweet from Lamar Jackson that reads only “Johnny” on the screen.

Ravens 2024 NFL schedule anomalies and factoids

The Ravens ’24 slate has plenty of built-in factoids, quirks, nuggets and tidbits, so let’s dive right in to it.

After what felt like multiple delays and announcements, the 2024 NFL schedule was finally announced.

The Ravens ’24 slate has plenty of built-in factoids, quirks, nuggets, and tidbits, so let’s dive right into it.

Sunday is the Day of Rest

As a character said in the movie Concussion, the NFL owns one day of the week (Sunday). Yet Baltimore will not be in action on at least seven Sundays this upcoming season.

It could be eight once we learn the date and time of the regular season finale at home versus Cleveland. The week 18 tilt is currently TBA.

Working Five Days a Week

We have a strange scheduling quirk with those seven games scheduled for days other than Sunday. The Ravens will play every day of the week, other than Tuesday and Friday, this season. Wednesday games are very rare, but that is the day when December 25th happens to fall in 2024.

The Ravens have a much-hyped Yuletide clash with the Houston Texans, kicking off at 4:30 EST that day.

Diverse Portfolio of Network Appearances

These days, leagues love to spread the wealth around when it comes to having broadcast partners. When combined with today’s philosophy of fragmentation into streaming services, this practice often creates unnecessary headaches for fans.

Well, here’s your new school version of TV Guide, so you don’t have to check what channel the Ravens are on every week.

NFL announces Ravens will face Texans in Christmas Day game streamed on Netflix

Netflix announced the Ravens and Texans will play in a rematch of last season’s AFC divisional round matchup.

Netflix is now offically an NFL streaming giant after signing a three-year deal with the league to host two Christmas Day games in 2024 and one game per holiday over the next three years.

Netflix announced the Ravens and Texans will play in a rematch of last season’s AFC divisional round matchup.

Baltimore defeated Houston twice last season.

The first meeting was a 25-9 Ravens win in the season opener, and the second was a dominant 34-10 win in the AFC Divisional Round game that catapulted Baltimore to the AFC Championship game.

Ranking all 32 teams (including the Ravens) by 2024 projected win totals

We’re looking at a ranking of all teams including the Baltimore Ravens by 2024 win total predictions

The Ravens (13-4) were the No. 1 seed in the AFC and had a first-round bye after navigating one of the NFL’s most difficult schedules.

With a first-place finish in 2023, the schedule will only get even more complicated, and after the late Sunday afternoon games, we have some unofficial idea of what the 2024 slate will look like.

Baltimore will play nine games on the road, eight at M&T Bank Stadium.

The schedule will be highlighted by matchups against their AFC North foes (Steelers, Bengals, Browns), the NFC East, AFC West, the AFC South champ, the NFC South champ, and the AFC East champion.

The league uses multiple factors to determine the year’s game schedule.

There’s a cycle of inter-conference faceoffs; each NFC division rotates through each AFC division every four seasons and the other NFC divisions every three seasons.

In addition, where a team finishes within their division dictates a same-finish matchup with one team from the opposite conference and whichever divisions aren’t in the rotation for that season.

Offering an early glimpse into where the Ravens could finish this season, DraftKings revealed a 2024 win total prediction for all 32 teams, and Baltimore landed at No. 2 on the list.
