PODCAST: Coaching updates, Senior Bowl standouts

This latest edition of the podcast talks about draft prospects in addition to the Cardinals’ coaching search.

Podcast: Free agency wish list and more Browns draft talk

Which players should the Browns target in free agency?

In this week’s show, we talk about our top five free-agent targets for the Cleveland Browns next month. Could the team target some former players for a potential reunion on the defensive side of the ball? The Browns might not have a ton of money to spend but there are more than enough cheaper players out there that would improve the roster.

We have a new edition of the show, talking coaching candidates and draft prospects from the East-West Shrine Bowl.

We have a new podcast episode for the second day in a row. This time, Seth Cox joins me as we go over two major topics — the Arizona Cardinals coaching search and the NFL draft.

We talk about the Cardinals having narrowed their search to three candidates, although since the show was recorded, that number is down to two.

After that, Seth gives us his standout players from last week’s East-West Shrine Bowl.

The draft talk continues to heat up with the main event is less than three months away.

The 2023 NFL Draft process continues as the Senior Bowl in Mobile has come to a close. The Cleveland Browns got a look at plenty of talent on display this past week and I am joined by the great Jeff Risdon to break it all down. We talk about some of my favorite prospects for the Browns as well as surprises and disappointments from the week in Alabama.

The 2023 Reese’s Senior Bowl has come and gone, and now the NFL Scouting Combine is next on the list as the 2023 NFL Draft treks closer by the day. The Cleveland Browns were in Mobile, Alabama for this year’s all-star affair, getting the opportunity to get a close-up look at some of the players who may be on their draft board.

This new episode of the podcast has insight to the Cardinals’ coaching search.

We have a new episode of the podcast! This is a solo show with me and I cover three topics. First, it is the notion that Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray could be the reason why the team has not yet hired a head coach.

Next, I look at the three apparent coaching finalists and, finally, I look at the role of defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, who many feel is still a viable candidate to be the Cardinals’ next head coach.

The Detroit Lions Podcast wrapped up the Senior Bowl week in Mobile with a recap of players who helped themselves in Lions eyes

The week of practices and interviews ahead of Saturday’s Senior Bowl are in the books. The Detroit Lions Podcast put a bow on the three days of action in Mobile in a recap and summary show on Thursday night.

This show focused on players who performed well in the context of what the Detroit Lions are expected to be looking for in the 2023 NFL draft. We also plowed through a few players who might have taken themselves out of consideration for Lions GM Brad Holmes and his scouting staff.

There is also a quick look at where the Lions might look more to free agency than the draft to fill some more pressing needs on the roster.

The Detroit Lions Podcast wrapped up Senior Bowl Day 2 and broke down the Duce Staley news live from Mobile

It was a busy day in Mobile on Wednesday. The Detroit Lions Podcat wrapped up the second day of the Senior Bowl practices in a live stream recap from radio row.

We broke down which players stood out in practice sessions. Much of the focus was on the offensive and defensive linemen, including one particular prospect who would be an outstanding fit as the Lions’ No. 6 O-lineman.

After wrapping the practice action, the conversation turned to the breaking news that Duce Staley is leaving the Lions to join the coaching staff with the Carolina Panthers. Staley’s departure leaves openings at both RB coach and assistant head coach. How might the team fill each of those roles?
