Hawaii at Oregon odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Hawaii at Oregon odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (1-2) visit the No. 13 Oregon Ducks (2-0) on Saturday. Kick from Autzen Stadium is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (Pac-12 Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Hawaii vs. Oregon odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Hawaii finally got in the win column with a 31-20 victory over Albany last Saturday as a 7.5-point favorite. QB Brayden Schager threw 4 touchdowns but also had 3 interceptions along with a 57.5% completion rate. WRs Pofele Ashlock and Steven McBride both had standout performances with Ashlock having 4 receptions for 74 yards and McBride hauling in 7 receptions for 72 yards and 2 TDs.

Oregon took down Texas Tech 38-30 last Saturday as a 4.5-point favorite. QB Bo Nix threw for 359 yards and 2 TDs while also rushing the ball 9 times for 46 yards in the victory. The Ducks entered the 4th quarter down 27-18 but put up a whopping 20 points to rally for the win.

Oregon is No. 13 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

  • Moneyline (ML): Off the board (OTB)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Hawaii +38.5 (-115) | Oregon -38.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 68.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Hawaii at Oregon picks and predictions

Prediction

Oregon 51, Hawaii 17

Moneyline

The moneyline was OTB at the time of publication but would not be worth pursuing even if it were available.

Against the spread

BET HAWAII +38.5 (-115).

While Oregon’s offense has showcased flashes of brilliance, like scoring 81 points in its first game and having a 20-point quarter to close out last week, Hawaii has shown it is more than capable of finding the end zone as well.

The Rainbow Warriors have scored at least 20 points in each of their first 3 games and if they are able to put the ball in the end zone even twice, they will have a great chance to cover this huge line.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 68.5 (-105).

Whether the Over or Under hits will be largely dependent on which Ducks offense comes out of the tunnel. If it is the Week 1 offense that put up 81 points and was firing on all cylinders, this game could get out of hand quickly and cash the Over quickly. However, Hawaii could prove to be more of a challenge to Oregon, like Texas Tech was last week, meaning a tougher defensive battle and an Under payday.

Central Michigan at Notre Dame odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Central Michigan at Notre Dame odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Central Michigan Chippewas (1-1) take on the No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (3-0) Saturday. Kickoff from Notre Dame Stadium is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET (Peacock). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Central Michigan vs. Notre Dame odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Central Michigan enters Saturday off a 45-42 victory against New Hampshire last week as a 7-point favorite and a 31-7 loss to Michigan State as a 14-point underdog in its season opener.

QB Bert Emanuel Jr. had a dismal performance through the air against New Hampshire, going 7-of-19 for 193 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs but that was nullified by his ground performance in which he carried the ball 21 times for 101 yards and 2 TDs. RB Myles Bailey also had 21 carries for 108 yards and a TD.

Notre Dame is seeking its 4th straight win to open the season after taking down NC State 45-24 last week, covering comfortably as a 7-point favorite. QB Sam Hartman tossed 4 TDs while RB Auric Estime rushed the ball 14 times for 134 yards with 2 TDs to lead the Fighting Irish to victory. The Notre Dame defense has played top-notch this season only allowing 30 combined points in its first 3 games.

Notre Dame is No. 11 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

  • Moneyline (ML): Off the board (OTB)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Central Michigan +34.5 (-110) | Notre Dame -34.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 51.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Central Michigan at Notre Dame picks and predictions

Prediction

Notre Dame 38, Central Michigan 7

Moneyline

The moneyline was OTB at the time of publication but would be too large to warrant consideration even if it was available.

Against the spread

SPRINKLE CENTRAL MICHIGAN +34.5 (-110).

Normally I stay away from a spread this large, but I think you can sprinkle on Central Michigan. Emanuel Jr. did not perform well in the air last week, but having a dual-threat QB can present issues for an opposing defense. Notre Dame should win this game with ease but do not be surprised if Central Michigan is able to put together a good drive here or there.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 51.5 (-105).

The Notre Dame defense has only allowed 30 total points this season and we can expect more of the same this week which will put most of the load to cover the points on the Fighting Irish offense. While they are expected to rout Central Michigan, if their defense holds strong, 51.5 points may be a lot to cover.

LSU at Mississippi State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s LSU at Mississippi State odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The LSU Tigers (1-1) visit the Mississippi State Bulldogs (2-0) on Saturday. Kickoff from Davis Wade Stadium is scheduled for noon ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the LSU vs. Mississippi State odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

After losing its opener in surprising fashion 45-24 to Florida State, LSU  bounced back against Grambling State with a 72-10 victory. QB Jayden Daniels passed for 269 yards and 5 TDs while RB Logan Diggs had 15 carries for 115 yards and a TD and RB Kaleb Jackson had 11 carries for 62 yards and 2 TDs. Expect more of the same this week against the Bulldogs.

Mississippi State beat Southeastern Louisiana 48-7 in the opener and knocked off Arizona 31-24 in overtime last week. QB Will Rogers went 13 of 17 for 162 yards and 3 TDs. RB Jo’quavious Marks had 24 carries for 123 yards and a TD.

LSU is No. 14 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

LSU at Mississippi State picks and predictions

Prediction

LSU 38, Mississippi State 28

Moneyline

PASS.

While Mississippi State is playing at home, LSU should take this game with ease. But at -375 odds, there is very little profit to be made by backing the Tigers.

Against the spread

LEAN LSU -9.5 (-115).

While the Tigers had a rough start to the season, they had a tune-up game last week against Grambling. Their offense was firing on all cylinders while their defense only allow 10 points. Daniels and company are looking to show why they belong in the Top 10 again and a conference road victory is the 1st step to making that happen.

While the Bulldogs defense forced 5 turnovers last week, they allowed 17 2nd-half points which could prove fatal against the Tiger’s offense. The turnovers will not come as easy this week.

Over/Under

BET OVER 54.5 (-110).

Mississippi State has scored 48 and 31 points respectively in each of its first 2 games while LSU has scored 45 and 72 points. Both teams have showcased they are more than capable of finding the end zone and this game could turn into a shootout real quick. Expect points early and often in this matchup.

Florida State at Boston College odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Florida State at Boston College odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Florida State Seminoles (2-0) hit the road to battle the Boston College Eagles (1-1) on Saturday. Kickoff from Alumni Stadium is set for noon ET (ABC). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Florida State vs. Boston College odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Florida State is looking for its 3rd win in a row after knocking off LSU 45-24 in its opening week and rolling past Southern Mississippi 66-13 last week. While the Seminoles had 4 passing TDs, it was the running game that was most impressive. FSU had 306 yards and 4 rushing TDs. RB Trey Benson led the way with 79 yards and 3 TDs on 9 carries.

Boston College dropped its 1st game to Northern Illinois 27-24, but bounced back with a 31-28 victory against Holy Cross. RB Kye Robichaux rushed 19 times for 94 yards and a TD in the victory.

Florida State is No. 3 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3012″ ]

Florida State at Boston College picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida State 42, Boston College 14

Moneyline

PASS.

At -5000 odds, there is no profit to be made on a Florida State team that should undoubtedly win on Saturday.

Against the spread

LEAN FLORIDA STATE -26.5 (-110).

Boston College has given up 27 and 28 points respectively in each of its first 2 weeks against much less talented offenses than that of the Seminoles.

On the other hand, Florida State has scored 45 and 66 points respectively in each of its first 2 games with their offense looking unstoppable. Look for the Seminoles to find success both through the air and on the ground while their defense haunts the Eagles offense.

Over/Under

BET OVER 48 (-110).

With the Seminoles high-powered offense, expect them to carry much of the point scoring load. They have almost surpassed this total on their own in their previous 2 games. On the other side of the football, the Eagles offense has shown through their 1st 2 weeks it is capable of putting the ball in the end zone, which should result in the Over hitting easily.

First look: Clemson at Duke odds and lines

Looking at Monday’s Clemson at Duke college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Clemson Tigers and the Duke Blue Devils open the regular season on Monday. Sept. 4, at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Clemson at Duke odds from BetMGM Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s college football picks and predictions.

The Tigers posted 11 victories last season, which gives Clemson 12 straight campaigns with 10 or more wins. It was a season of transition, as QB D.J. Uiagalelei started as the signal caller, but prospect QB Cade Klubnik finished as the starter. Klubnik is the future, and Uiagalelei is now at Oregon State. Klubnik must take another step forward if the team wants to get back in the national title picture.

The Blue Devils hired a new coach last season, as Mike Elko replaced the popular David Cutcliffe. Duke surprisingly won 8 regular-season games and its bowl in Elko’s debut, led by QB Riley Leonard. The schedule is brutal for the Blue Devils this season, including the opener against a top-10 team.

Clemson is No. 9 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.
