Battle 4 Atlantis Championship: Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (6-0) face the Louisville Cardinals (5-1) in the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship Game Friday from Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas. Tip is set for 5:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Louisville vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Sooners opened the tournament with a 79-77 win over the Providence Friars, closing as a 3-point underdog. In the semifinal Thursday, they beat the No. 23 Arizona Wildcats 82-77 Thursday, covering as a 7.5-point underdog. Oklahoma has scored at least 79 points in 4 straight games and is 3-3 against the spread (ATS).

The Cardinals beat the No. 14 Indiana Hoosiers 89-61 in the quarterfinal, covering as a 4-point underdog, and beat the West Virginia Mountaineers 79-70 in OT in Thursday’s semifinal, closing as a 2-point favorite. Louisville has won 4 straight with its lone loss against the No. 6 Tennessee Volunteers on Nov. 9. It is 4-2 ATS through 6 games.

Louisville vs. Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 74, Louisville 70

Moneyline

BET OKLAHOMA (+145).

The Sooners have been the more consistent side this season and are worthy of a play to come out on top. They shot 41% from deep against Arizona and are averaging 80.5 points per game in the tournament. They are 1-0 straight up and ATS as an underdog this season.

Louisville is 1-1 ATS as a favorite of 5 points or less. It was saved against West Virginia because it was able to get to the line, having 21 more free throws. The Cardinals won despite shooting 25% from deep.

Back the side shooting better coming into the championship and play OKLAHOMA (+145).

Against the spread

PASS.

There’s no great reason to take the spread over the moneyline for the Sooners here. The games have been close, for the most part, but the value is better for the underdog to win outright.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 150.5 (-110).

While the Sooners have been consistent in their scoring, the Cardinals have a stout defense, allowing more than 70 points just once this season, and that was to top-10 Tennessee. They are 1-5 O/U on the season.

Oklahoma has allowed 64 or fewer points in 4 of its 6 games, so it should be able to defend at a high level as well. Back UNDER 150.5 (-110).

Wichita State vs. Florida odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Wichita State at Florida odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Wichita State Shockers (6-0) face the No. 16 Florida Gators (7-0) Thursday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Wichita State vs. Florida odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Wichita State edged the Minnesota Golden Gophers 68-66 in overtime on Thursday. The game pushed on the 2-point spread, and the Under 138 cashed. With 4.6 seconds left in OT, Georgia transfer Justin Hill sealed the win with 2 free throws. Senior guard Lu’Cye Patterson had 14 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and a steal and block to help the Shockers advance in the ESPN Events Invitational.

Florida also stayed undefeated on Thursday, defeating the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 75-58. They covered as a 7.5-point favorite, and the Under 153 cashed. The Gators dominated the boards, outrebounding Wake Forest 44-30. Senior guard Walter Clayton Jr. led the way with 21 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and 3 steals.

Wichita State vs. Florida picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 76, Wichita State 64

Moneyline

PASS.

Florida (-550) will win and cover on Friday which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET FLORIDA -9.5 (-120).

Both teams come into this matchup undefeated, but Wichita State had to fight hard for a 68-66 OT win against Minnesota on Thursday. The Shockers have lost their last 8 games against AP-ranked teams at neutral venues. In contrast, Florida has won its last 7 games against unranked opponents, winning each by at least 13 points.

Florida is more efficient offensively and stronger defensively, forcing missed shots and turnovers at a higher rate. With superior rebounding and a more efficient offense (48.2% shooting), Florida should dominate. Wichita State struggles from beyond the arc, shooting under 30% on 3-pointers. After their dominant victory over Wake Forest, the Gators should cover the spread on Friday.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 154.5 (-115).

The Shockers are 3-0-1 against the Under in their last 4 games, with Thursday’s game staying below 140 total points. Florida has hit the Under in 4 of its last 6 contests. The Gators play a slower, half-court game, ranking 112th in pace, and have a strong defense, allowing just 64 points per game. Wichita State struggles with outside shooting, which makes the Under a solid play for this matchup.

Arizona vs. West Virginia odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Arizona vs. West Virginia odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 23 Arizona Wildcats (3-3) face the West Virginia Mountaineers (4-2) in the third-place game in the Battle 4 Atlantis Friday at Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Arizona vs. West Virginia odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Arizona is No. 23 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll. The Wildcats lost to the Oklahoma Sooners Thursday, 82-77, closing as 7.5-point favorites. They have lost 3 of their last 4 games and are just 2-4 against the spread (ATS) this season. Arizona is 1-2 ATS either on the road or on a neutral court.

The Mountaineers lost to the Louisville Cardinals 79-70 in OT Thursday, failing to cover as 2-point underdogs. They opened their tournament play with an 86-78 OT win over the No. 4 Gonzaga Bulldogs Wednesday, covering as 15-point underdogs. West Virginia is 3-3 ATS this season.

Arizona vs. West Virginia picks and predictions

Prediction

Arizona 78, West Virginia 74

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to take the moneyline here. The Wildcats (-275) should come out on top and have a more talented team, despite having struggled recently. They aren’t worth a play to win outright.

Against the spread

BET WEST VIRGINIA +6.5 (-110).

The Wildcats have yet to cover this season as single-digit favorites, going 0-3 ATS in those games. They have lost 3 of their last 4, as well, scoring 77 or fewer in 2 of those losses.

West Virginia is 2-1 ATS in its last 3 games. It has scored 86 or more in 2 of its last 3, so its offense is clicking. The Mountaineers beat Gonzaga in OT Wednesday and took Louisville to OT Thursday in their last 2 games and should again keep things close.

Take WEST VIRGINIA +6.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 151.5 (-110).

If there’s 1 thing the Wildcats know how to do, it is score the ball. They have tallied at least 77 points in 5 of 6 games this season and put up 104 on the Davidson Wildcats in the first game of the tournament. Arizona is 4-2 O/U on the season.

West Virginia is 2-3-1 O/U, but as an underdog, its defense has allowed at least 78 points in all 3 games. The Mountaineers have scored at least 75 in $ of 6 this season. Back OVER 151.5 (-110).

Indiana vs. Providence odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Indiana vs. Providence odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 15 Indiana Hoosiers (4-2) and the Providence Friars (5-2) meet Friday in the Battle 4 Atlantis 7th-place game. Tip-off at Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas, is at 11 a.m. ET (ESPN2). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Indiana vs. Providence odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Indiana has had a difficult time in the islands, losing to the Louisville Cardinals and Gonzaga Bulldogs, both by at least 16 points. The Hoosiers have averaged 67.0 points per game in the 2 losses while allowing 89.0 PPG. Indiana is 0-3 against the spread (ATS) in the past 3 games, and the Under is 4-2 in 6 games.

Providence has also lost its first 2 games in the Bahamas, falling 79-77 against the Oklahoma Sooners in the opener Wednesday, and 69-58 against Davidson Wildcats  Thursday. The Friars are 1-1 ATS in the 2 games, while the Under is 6-1 in 7 games this season.

Indiana vs. Providence picks and predictions

Prediction

Indiana 69, Providence 67

Moneyline

Indiana (-200) will cost you 2 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not enough reward. The Hoosiers have been playing terribly in the islands, so it will take a big turnaround to get the job done. But, this team headed south with big expectations and a ranking, so it’s certainly capable of getting a win.

PASS.

Against the spread

Back PROVIDENCE +4.5 (-110) catching the points. While Indiana -4.5 (-110) should be able to get the job done straight up, the Friars have a very good defense to keep this game super close. A one-possession game would not be surprising in the least.

Over/Under

UNDER 140.5 (-110) is a strong play in the islands, as these 2 teams look to salvage something from this Thanksgiving week trip other than a suntan.

The Friars have cashed the Under in 6 of 7 games to date, including last time out against Davidson Wednesday. The Friars have held 6 teams to 69 or fewer points through 7 outings.

For the Hoosiers, the Under has cashed in 4 of 6 games, and Indiana’s offense has struggled in 2 games at Imperial Arena with just 67.0 PPG.

Georgia State at Kentucky odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Georgia State at Kentucky odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Kentucky Wildcats (6-0) welcome the Georgia State Panthers (4-3) to Rupp Arena Friday. Tip is set for 7 p.m. ET (SEC Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Georgia State vs. Kentucky odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Kentucky is No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll and is coming off a 87-68 home win over the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Tuesday, but failing to cover as a 24-point favorite. The Wildcats are 2-1 against the spread (ATS) in 3 straight home games and 4-1-1 ATS on the season.

The Panthers beat the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 74-71 Wednesday, closing as a 4.5-point neutral-court underdog. They were led by F Zarique Nutter, who tallied 22 points. Georgia State has won 3 of its last 4 games and is 4-2 ATS on the season. It has lost its 2 true road games, but went 1-1 ATS in those.

Georgia State at Kentucky picks and predictions

Prediction

Kentucky 93, Georgia State 61

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to consider a moneyline wager. The Wildcats should come out on top, but are far too expensive to play.

Against the spread

BET KENTUCKY -30.5 (-105).

The Panthers are 0-1 ATS as an underdog of 22 -plus points. They lost 101-66 to the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Nov. 8, and this should be a much more hostile environment.

The Wildcats have closed as a favorite of over 25 points twice and are 1-0-1 ATS in those. They are 3-1-1 ATS at home this season. Kentucky has scored at least 97 in 4 games and has the firepower to put it on Georgia State Friday.

Take KENTUCKY -30.5 (-105).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 162.5 (-115).

The Cats have a strong defense and have held opponents to 72 or fewer points in every game and under 68 points in 3 straight games. Kentucky ranks second in the nation averaging at 95.3 points per game and is coming an 87-point effort against the Hilltoppers.

The Panthers are 2-4 O/U and average 75.3 points ooer game, but have averaged just 62 PPG over their last 2 games. They put up 66 on the Bulldogs in that lone matchup as a heavy underdog earlier in the season.

Considering those trends, back UNDER 162.5 (-115).

Pitt at Ohio State odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Pitts at Ohio State odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 25 Pitt Panthers (6-1) face the Ohio State Buckeyes (5-1) Friday at the Schottenstein Center. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. ET (Peacock). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Pitt vs. Ohio State odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Pitt squandered a 14-point lead and dropped its first game of the season Sunday, losing 81-75 to No. 17 Wisconsin as a 2.5-point road favorite as the Over 148.5 cashed. Senior G Ishmael Leggett had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists for Pitt, but his efforts couldn’t prevent the team’s late-game collapse.

Ohio State earned its third consecutive win on Monday, cruising past the Green Bay Phooenix 102-69 while covering as a 25-point home favorite. The Over 154 cashed as the Buckeyes shot a sharp 55.9% (38-for-68) and forced 18 turnovers. G Bruce Thornton delivered an outstanding performance, racking up 25 points and 9 assists to fuel the lopsided victory.

Pitt at Ohio State picks and predictions

Prediction

Ohio State 76, Pitt 70

Moneyline

PASS.

The Buckeyes (-160) will win at home on Friday afternoon but I’d rather take the better odds on the spread.

Against the spread

BET OHIO STATE -3.5 (-110).

I’m backing Ohio State to handle business in Columbus on Friday afternoon. While Pitt has looked solid, their lone real test resulted in a loss to Wisconsin, and this will be their first road game of the season. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, boast a signature win over the No. 19 Texas Longhorns and have dominated mid-major opponents, winning their last 3 games by an average of 42 points. At 5-1 ATS, Ohio State has covered in every victory, while Pitt is just 3-2 ATS in its last 5. OSU freshman John Mobley Jr.’s growing role (15 points per game) could be the difference in this matchup.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 147.5 (-115).

Pitt is 3-1-1 against the Under in its last 5 games, while Ohio State is 3-2 in that span. The Panthers have been solid defensively, allowing over 70 points only once and giving up an average of just 63 points per game. Ohio State has also limited scoring against quality opponents. Pitt’s top scorers, Leggett and Jaland Lowe, have been inefficient this season, particularly Lowe, who is shooting under 40%. With both teams boasting strong defenses, expect a lower-scoring game and the under to hit.

Mississippi State vs. UNLV odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Mississippi State vs. UNLV odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Mississippi State Bulldogs (5-0) and the UNLV Rebels (4-1) meet Thursday at the Arizona Tip-Off in Tempe. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network) at Mullett Arena. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Mississippi State vs. UNLV odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Bulldogs have back-to-back wins against power conference teams, topping Utah (78-73 as 7.5-point favorites Nov. 17) and SMU (84-79 as 1-point favorites Nov. 22) in the past 2 outings. This offense has scored at least 78 points in all 5 of its games, while it ranks No. 33 in defensive rating and No. 27 in the KenPom rankings.

The Runnin’ Rebels have won 4 of 5 but are just No. 93 in the KenPom rankings. UNLV has been a bit banged up to start the season as G Jaden Henley, F Rob Whaley and G Jace Whiting remain out indefinitely. Dedan Thomas Jr. continues to hold down the fort, averaging 17.8 points and 3.8 assists per game. He had a game-high 22 points in the Rebels’ last game, a 72-65 home win vs. New Mexico State Saturday — they didn’t cover as 11.5-point favorite and the Under (141) cashed.

Mississippi State vs. UNLV picks and predictions

Prediction

Mississippi State 81, UNLV 69

Moneyline

Backing Mississippi State (-400) will cost 4 times the potential return. That’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward. Even as part of a multi-leg parlay on this holiday, it’s not a recommended strategy to include Mississippi State at this price. There just isn’t enough value.

PASS.

Against the spread

BET MISSISSIPPI STATE -8.5 (-110) as this team has already been tested in 2 tough games — against Utah and SMU.

For UNLV, it’s only loss to date is to Memphis, who did very well at the Maui Invitational in reaching the championship game. However, all 4 wins for the Runnin’ Rebels are of the quad-4 variety, so the jury is still out on their impressive record and start.

Over/Under

OVER 146.5 (-110) is worth a look in this neutral floor battle in the desert.

The Over has cashed in 4 of 5 games for Mississippi State so far. While the Bulldogs are a solid team defensively, offensively they’ve gotten loose for some big-time totals. As mentioned, Mississippi State has scored 78 or more points in all 5 of its games.

For UNLV, the Under has cashed in 3 of the past 4 outings, with the offense scored 80 or fewer points in 4 in a row.

The Sooners picked up a 79-77 win in the tourney opener against Providence Wednesday, but Oklahoma just missed covering as a 3-point favorite while the Over (137) cashed. Oklahoma had won its first 4 games by 16 or more points, all against mid-major teams or lower conference members.

The Wildcats rebounded from back-to-back losses at Wisconsin (Nov. 15) and at home to Duke (Friday), pounding Davidson 104-71 as a 16-point favorite Wednesday while the Over (152) connected. Both Arizona and Oklahoma have alternated the Over and Under through 5 games.

Oklahoma vs. Arizona picks and predictions

Prediction

Arizona 83, Oklahoma 76

Moneyline

Backing Arizona (-250) is a little too costly straight up. You must risk 2½ times your potential return, and that’s just a little too much for a standalone bet. While the Wildcats were impressive, taking out their day on Davidson after losses to Duke and Wisconsin, unbeaten Oklahoma (+190) should present a much bigger challenge.

PASS.

Against the spread

Play ARIZONA -6.5 (-110), but be ready to sweat it out until the end.

Oklahoma +6.5 (-110) has been impressive at times, and it passed its first big test of the season against Providence from the Big East. This is a huge measuring-stick game, and it will be interesting to see how the Sooners stack up. Either way, this will be a good test for the Sooners as they ramp up for SEC play for the first time.

Over/Under

OVER 155.5 (-105) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.

The Over cashed for Arizona in the opener of this tourney, as it hit triple digits against Davidson. The total has gone high in 2 of 3 games against power conference teams to date.

For Oklahoma, the total hit high in the Providence game, while cashing in 3 of 5 outings to date. This offense can fill up the basket, going for 84 or more points on 4 occasions so far.

BYU vs. Ole Miss odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s BYU vs. Ole Miss odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The BYU Cougars (5-0) battle the No. 24 Ole Miss Rebels (5-0) Thursday in the Rady Children’s Invitational. Tip from LionTree Arena in San Diego is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET (FS1). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the BYU vs. Ole Miss odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

BYU remained undefeated after demolishing Mississippi Valley State 87-43 Saturday but failing to cover as a 45-point home favorite as the Under (144) cashed. C Fousseyni Traore recorded a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds, both game-highs.

Ole Miss also is undefeated, recently routing Oral Roberts 100-68 Nov. 21, covering as a 21.5-point home favorite with the Over (149.5) hitting. G Sean Pedulla and G Matthew Murrell each scored a game-high 19 points in the win.

The other 2 teams in this holiday tournament are No. 12 Purdue and NC State. Thursday’s 2 winners will meet Friday in the Championship Game; likewise for the losers in Friday’s consolation game.

BYU vs. Ole Miss picks and predictions

Prediction

Ole Miss 74, BYU 70

Moneyline

BET OLE MISS (+155).

Ole Miss has scored 84 or more points in 3 of its 5 games, including in its last 2 outings. Defensively, the Rebels haven’t allowed more than 69 points in each of their 5 games.

They may be the underdogs here, but the Rebels have the offensive firepower to flourish against the Cougars, who have allowed 71 or more points in 2 of their last 4 games.

Against the spread

PASS.

The moneyline for Ole Miss has better value.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 151.5 (-110).

The best way for the Rebels to win Thursday is to shut down the Cougars’ offense. While BYU has scored 86 or more points in each of its game this season, the Cougars have not faced an opponent the caliber of the Rebels. In what will be a back-and-forth battle — with the highest O/U line in an Ole Miss game so far this season — UNDER 151.5 (-110) is a solid play.

Florida vs. Wake Forest odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Florida vs. Wake Forest odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The No. 16 Florida Gators (6-0) face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-1) Thursday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college basketball odds around the Florida vs. West Forest odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

The Gators remained unbeaten on Friday, dominating the Southern Illinois Salukis 93-68. Florida covered the 18.5-point spread and the Over 159 hit. The Gators showcased strong defense, with 7 steals and 9 blocks. Florida Atlantic transfer Alijah Martin was the star, with 32 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Wake Forest enters the Thanksgiving Day game on a 2-game win streak after defeating the Detroit Mercy Titans 67-57 on Saturday, but failing to cover as 24-point favorites as the Under 141 cashed. Detroit dominated the boards 48-31, but committed 14 turnovers. Senior G Hunter Sallis led the Demon Deacons with 31 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Florida vs. Wake Forest picks and predictions

Prediction

Florida 76, Wake Forest 68

Moneyline

PASS.

Florida (-250) will win and cover on Thanksgiving which is why I’ll take my wager to the spread.

Against the spread

BET FLORIDA -6.5 (-115).

I’m sticking with the Gators here. Florida has dominated in all their wins, each by double digits, and they haven’t faced a serious test yet. In their last game against Southern Illinois, they shot 46.7% from the field, recorded 25 assists, and committed just 6 turnovers. The Gators have scored 81+ points in all six games, and this will be their toughest test so far.

Florida’s guard trio of Martin, Walter Clayton Jr., and Will Richard is a huge advantage, with the ability to score from anywhere. Wake Forest has Sallis, a standout player, but they lack consistent scoring beyond him. The Demon Deacons are struggling with turnovers and shooting from 3.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 151.5 (-110).

Florida is one of the top offensive teams in the country, scoring over 80 points in every game this season. Despite this, the Gators have gone Under in 3 of their last 5 games. Wake Forest has hit the Under in 5 of their 7 contests and has struggled to score against tough competition, allowing over 70 points in both of their toughest matchups. Florida will likely score over 80 points, but Wake Forest’s slow pace and poor 3-point shooting will prevent them from keeping up, making the Under the more likely outcome.
