Texas safety Brandon Jones is anxious to hear where he’ll begin his professional career.
Jones is expected to hear his name called on day two of the 2020 NFL Draft, most likely within the third round. It’s been a childhood dream of his to compete in the National Football League, but that doesn’t mean he won’t miss the school that built his platform.
The Longhorns social media team released a video just hours prior to the start of the draft. The short clip was narrated by Jones as he recounted his collegiate career and what makes Texas special.

Pride and tradition were two strong words Jones referred to when looking back on his experiences in Austin. He wants to be remembered by Longhorns fans as a player who gave his all at every single moment.
Although Jones mentioned that it’s hard to explain what makes Texas so special and unique, he reiterated that it’s something you just have to experience for yourself to truly understand.
He’ll be remembered for more than just his punishing hits on the field. Jones epitomized what it meant to be a Longhorn in every way, he will be missed by many.
