It’s been a minute since we’ve had some big recruiting news. Today, we got some as four-star defensive end Kenyatta Jackson committed to Ohio State.
Jackson makes 15 commits to the Buckeye class of 2022 but is the first defensive lineman to commit in the class. The edge rusher from Hollywood, Florida is the No. 7 ranked defensive end in the nation according to 247Sports composite rankings and is a top 100 player overall.
Jackson’s recruitment came down to Ohio State and Oklahoma. Jackson said after some time of prayer and fasting with his grandmother, he felt like Ohio State was the best fit for him personally.

The Buckeyes currently have the No. 5 recruiting class in the county but hope to add more in the weeks to come as players will be making official visits this fall. Hopefully, this will add a little momentum to a class that started out white-hot but has gone quiet for a bit.
