It might not make a ton of waves across the college football recruiting world, but Ohio State has landed another commitment for the 2021 class, its 18th total. It’s not a position player, but a scholarship punter from Australia.
Jesse Mirco is currently with ProKick Australia, a firm that helps Aussies develop into college and NFL kickers. It’s the same organization that helped produce the Buckeyes’ other Australian kicker, Cameron Johnston who is now with the Eagles.
Since Mirco is coming from down under and not a part of the evaluation methods used for high school recruits, he does not have a start rating with any of the recruiting services. Make no mistake about it though, if Ohio State is offering him a scholarship, he is a pretty good one.
Absolutely honoured to announce I have committed and accepted a full scholarship to study and play football for THE Ohio State University in 2021. @OhioStateFB #GoBucks ⭕️🌰 pic.twitter.com/qZP7EzJgXq

Mirco took to Twitter Wednesday morning to announce his commitment, and it continues the hot recruiting Ohio State has been on lately.
