Bills injury updates on Josh Allen, Damien Harris, more

#Bills injury updates on Josh Allen, Damien Harris, more:

Another week and another unfortunate series of injury updates for the Buffalo Bills.

Thankfully, there are not as negative follow-up reports like the ones we’ve seen that past few weeks.

Defensive back Tre’Davious White (Achilles), linebacker Matt Milano (knee) and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (pectoral) all sustained season-ending injuries over the past three games.

Then during Buffalo’s eventual 14-9 win over the New York Giants (1-5), another scary moment. Running back Damien Harris was taken off the field in an ambulance.

Thankfully, great news has followed. According to head coach Sean McDermott, Harris is already out of the hospital. He had been taken there as a precaution for a neck injury.

While his short-term health is not clear, leaving the hospital is a great sign. Harris has also entered the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Behind Harris, the name on the mind of most was quarterback Josh Allen. He indicated he sustained a shoulder injury and played through it against the Giants.

“He’s sore, but he’ll be alright,” McDermott said via video conference. “We’ll see where that goes.”

McDermott did not directly answer if the Bills (4-2) would have their QB1 against the New England Patriots next week. He only said Allen is day-to-day.

A clearer answer will be provided by the Bills’ injury reports released this week starting on Wednesday.

Regarding others who played against New York: Greg Rousseau (foot) missed last week’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and was said to be sore but otherwise OK in his return. Cornerback Cam Lewis (stinger) departed the Giants contest and was added to the day-to-day list as well.

A final, and another daily notion, was provided on Dane Jackson (foot). He did not play against the Giants and is day-to-day.

No word was provided on tight end Dalton Kincaid, who is in the NFL’s concussion protocol. It’s usually the norm for updates on players with concussions to be very limited.
