Tight end (4)

Dawson Knox, Tyler Kroft, Lee Smith, Wommy Sweeney

Cuts: Nate Becker, Jason Croom

Dawson Knox is the clear No. 1 after a rookie season that showed some flashes. Make no mistake, they were just flashes. Knox left something to be desired and he has to show more in 2020 to prove he’s the long-term option. Speaking of showing more, Kroft’s right there, too. His NFL career is probably over if he doesn’t stay on the field.

Thanks to Greg Olsen not signing with the Bills, Tommy Sweeney, with at least a decent camp and preseason, could have a solid look to lock up a roster spot. Lee Smith brings the blocking, but as mentioned without Olsen, he’s got his area as a team leader for McDermott secured as well.
