Big 12 Football: Ranking the starting running backs for 2021

Take a look at our rankings of the starting running backs in the Big 12 for the 2021 season.

The Big 12 conference is home to two of the top running backs in the country.

Iowa State’s Breece Hall and Texas’ Bijan Robinson are widely projected to be Heisman candidates for the 2021 season. You could make a solid case for two other ball carriers in the Big 12 to be mentioned among the top 10 running backs in the country for this upcoming season as well — Oklahoma’s Kennedy Brooks and Kansas State’s Deuce Vaughn.

Two of the top running backs from a season ago, Kansas’ Pooka Williams and Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard, have made the leap to the NFL; therefore, new names will be appearing on these particular rankings.

Former five-star prospect Zachary Evans (for whatever reason) could find himself among a running back by committee approach, therefore bumping any one of TCU’s starting rushers down the list. However, it seems like only a matter of time until Evans will take the reins.
