Baldy Breakdown: Jermaine Eluemunor a huge addition for Giants

Brian Baldinger believes Jermaine Eluemunor is a “huge” addition for the New York Giants and not just because of his play.

The New York Giants may have solved some of the issues along their offensive line with two key free agent signings last week, adding guard Jon Runyon Jr. and the versatile Jermaine Eluemunor.

NFL Network analyst and former trench warrior, Brian Baldinger, recently broke down Eluemunor’s game in the way he can only do.

“This guy has played seven years, started 45 games, played 2,900-plus snaps, got two total holding calls in seven years,” Baldinger said, via Giants.com. “The guy doesn’t hold. The guy has great hands.”

Eluemunor can play both guard and tackle but played right tackle under line coach Carmen Bricillo (now the Giants’ offensive line coach) with the Raiders last year in Las Vegas.

“He got to study under one of the best O-line coaches, if not the best O-line coach that ever coached in the NFL, (Former Patriots Offensive Line Coach) Dante Scarnecchia,” continued Baldinger.

“To have that experience, that’s huge. I think that will be really huge for the young guys to learn from him and take his coaching to help them take that next step in their progression as an offensive lineman.”

The Giants hope the 39-year-old can come in a provide an upgrade and/or depth to a unit that has experienced both injuries and inconsistency.
