Alabama defeats the Lady Vols by 16 points in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama (19-6, 6-4 SEC) defeated the Lady Vols (14-8, 7-3 SEC), 72-56, Thursday at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Crimson Tide led, 30-28, at halftime.

Rickea Jackson totaled 13 points and six rebounds for Tennessee. She was one of two Tennessee players to score 10-plus points in the contest.

Jasmine Powell recorded 10 points, three rebounds and three assists, while Tamari Key posted nine points and seven rebounds. Sara Puckett finished with eight points for Tennessee, which converted 24-of-68 field goal attempts and 3-of-18 three-point attempts.

Tennessee recorded a .556 free throw percentage, converting 5-of-9 free throw attempts.

The Lady Vols committed 12 turnovers in the contest.
