WASHINGTON–The Philadelphia 76ers invaded Capital One Arena on Tuesday to take on the Washington Wizards looking to keep building their winning streak. They entered the night winners of eight in a row and they had been playing some tough basketball out on the floor.
With that being said, the Wizards have some good talent of their own led by Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis and they were too much for Philadelphia to handle. The Wizards came away with a 116-111 win to snap the winning streak and hand the Sixers their first loss since Dec. 5. Porzingis had 24 and 10 boards for Washington and Beal had 19, with 17 coming in the first half.
Joel Embiid led the way with another monstrous game of 48 points and nine rebounds for Philadelphia, James Harden had 26 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds and Tobias Harris had 15 points. De’Anthony Melton had six points while Montrezl Harrell had nine points off the bench.
