Texas is in great shape at the quarterback position for the foreseeable future.
It all starts with senior signal caller Sam Ehlinger. If he’s able to stay healthy and continue progressing along the same path, he will quickly climb into Heisman trophy consideration.
Although the Longhorns have housed several talented quarterbacks in the past, they’ve also experienced a few ruts. With the talent at the position on the current roster, it doesn’t appear they’ll have any trouble finding Ehlinger’s successor.
Many are excited about two highly-rated incoming quarterbacks, but that shouldn’t overshadow experienced backup Casey Thompson. Let’s take a look at each quarterback on the roster heading into the 2020 season.
