5 things to know about Logan Stenberg

Here are five things fans need to know about Detroit Lions fourth-round pick, Kentucky guard, Logan Stenberg.

After trading back with the Raiders, the Lions picked up offensive lineman Logan Stenberg from University of Kentucky.  I just so happened to find some pretty interesting facts about him that I felt you should know.

  1.  He’s been called mean and nasty. Not necessarily as a person, but more of a player.  And not in the “dirty player” type of player either. According to an article by Marcus Dorsey, he would maul opposing defensive linemen. Another thing that stuck out, was that he was called a toothless giant in the title of the article. I think he’s got teeth…right?
  2. He got an offer, (and obviously accepted) to Kentucky, but Ole Miss had been on his radar. When he spoke with Ole Miss, he said that if they weren’t going to offer him a scholarship, he wasn’t coming. Not even on a visit. They didn’t offer him.
  3. After redshirting his freshman year, he started every game of his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He made first-team all-SEC in his final season.
  4. He’s stayed after practice to help with events like the Special Olympics.
  5. His nickname is “Stenny” and his favorite movie is Forrest Gump.
