Ravens release Thursday injury report for Week 4 matchup vs. Broncos

The Ravens released their Thursday injury report for their Week 4 matchup with the Broncos

The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up to take on the Denver Broncos during Week 4 of the 2021 season. Denver comes into the game undefeated at 3-0, while Baltimore owns a 2-1 record. Both teams are dealing with a plethora of injuries heading into this game, although the Ravens have been the most injured team in the NFL to start the year.

On Thursday, Baltimore released their second injury report of the week ahead of their matchup with Denver. Plenty of names appeared on the list, with quarterback Lamar Jackson as the headliner as he missed his second straight day of practice with a back injury.

Friday’s injury report will go a long way in telling whether certain players will play in Week 4, including Jackson. Safety DeShon Elliott (quad), tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), and defensive lineman Derek Wolfe (hip/back) also missed their second straight day of practice of the week.

Cornerback Anthony Averett (limited, ankle) and safety Geno Stone (limited, thigh) were new additions to the injury report on Thursday, while offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva (limited, knee), outside linebacker Pernell McPhee (limited, shoulder), and cornerback Tavon Young (full, knee) returned to practice in some capacity. Defensive tackle Brandon Williams did not participate in practice on Thursday with a rest day.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander releases ‘Chase The Drip’ clothing collection

SGA teamed up with Converse to release two pairs of shoes, a shirt and a hoodie.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, known for his fashion sense — in addition to his basketball talent, of course — has dropped his new clothing collection.

Gilgeous-Alexander released a video on Instagram for his “Chase The Drip” catalog with Converse.

It includes a shirt, hoodie, and low-top and high-top shoes.

The sky blue low-top shoes are $75 while the white high-tops are $90. Both of them can be found at FootAction and Footlocker.

The t-shirt is brown with a light blue SGA sprawled across the chest and “Don’t Mind My Drip” written right below in yellow. The hoodie is the same blue color with paler yellow lettering for both SGA and “Don’t Mind My Drip.”

Both are available on the Converse website.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s fashion is a notable part of his persona. He was featured in GQ in September, with moments talking about Fashion Week and the Met Gala.

“I’ve always been into clothes. I’ve always liked dressing up as a kid,” he said to the magazine. “It comes from my parents—they always made sure we’d look proper when we left the house and that we met the standard they tried to uphold.”

With this new line, he’s stretching further out into the industry.

2023 Commit DeAndre Moore flashes “OU” after touchdown pass from Malachi Nelson

In Los Alamitos Thursday night matchup with Corona Del Mar, 2023 wide receiver commit DeAndre Moore flashed OU after scoring a touchdown.

Los Alamitos High School in California has become quite the feeder program for the Oklahoma Sooners this Summer. Over the last few months, the Sooners have received commitments from three players that play for the Griffins in Makai Lemon, Malachi Nelson, and DeAndre Moore.

All three players are among the best at their position and all three have that five-star attribute listed next to their name.

In a rare Thursday night game, Los Alamitos took on Corona Del Mar and two of the Sooners’ Los Alamitos commits are already providing some highlights.

After Malachi Nelson hit DeAndre Moore on a slant route for a touchdown, Moore jumped up and fashioned the O and U over his head.

Moore committed to the Sooners just six days ago, adding to an already incredible recruiting class for 2023 that features four five-star players, two four-stars, and one three-star player on the rise.

DeAndre Moore is already having fun repping his future home. Much like Caleb Williams did for the 2021 cycle, Malachi Nelson picked up the recruiting efforts for the 2023 recruiting class. After joining Nelson at Los Alamitos this Summer, it looks like Moore will be joining Nelson in his efforts to land top-flight recruits to join them.

Flashing OU after a touchdown during a high-profile high school game will certainly catch the attention of others and provide the Sooners with some positive PR as the team struggles to find consistency offensively.

Bears fans are over Matt Nagy’s mind games at quarterback

Matt Nagy has stoked the flames of controversy this week with a series of moves that has Bears fans fed up.

The Matt Nagy hatred has reached a fever pitch this week, and we’re only three games into the Bears’ 2021 season. That’s how fed up Bears fans are with Nagy.

Following the worst game in Nagy’s tenure as offensive play caller — and the worst outing for a Bears offense in 40 years — you’d figure Nagy would be trying to calm the fire directed his way.

Instead, Nagy has stoked the flames this week with a series of moves that has Bears fans fed up. Whether it was refusing to say who would be calling plays or inviting controversy at quarterback when he didn’t rule out Nick Foles starting Sunday, #FireNagy has reached its peak just three weeks into the season.

Speaking of quarterback controversy, the Bears don’t intend to make a quarterback — assumed to be the starter for Sunday’s game against the Lions — available to the media until Friday, which is a far cry from the typical Wednesday presser.

Granted, health will dictate who’s starting Sunday against the Lions, as Andy Dalton has been limited in both days of practice as he recovers from a bone bruise on his knee. But Nagy should know at this point who’s starting against Detroit. If he doesn’t, that’s a problem.

And, as you might’ve guessed, Bears fans are done with the mind games from Nagy, especially at quarterback with the future of the franchise in Justin Fields caught in the middle of it all.

Ohio State football releases Rutgers trailer

It’s Thursday, and that means we have the Rutgers trailer from the Ohio State creative team.

It’s the fifth Thursday of the college football season, and that means we have our fifth installment of the Ohio State football trailer for the next game. This week just so happens to be a trip to Piscataway, New Jersey, to face a resurgent Rutgers program that is buying what head coach Greg Schiano is selling.

Either way, as the trailer says, it’s time for the next round, and it may not be as easy as other years vs. the Scarlet Knights. Ohio State can ill-afford to drop another game if it has designs of attaining all of its goals this year, so a road game against a good defensive ball club should be a good test.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the Rutgers trailer, we’ve got it for you thanks to the official Ohio State Football Twitter page. So, clear out the living room, turn up the volume, and get prepared for this weekend by watching the latest trailer the Ohio State creative team put together.

Ohio State and Rutgers will be coming to a television set or streaming device near you at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday. Tune in to the Big Ten Network to catch all the action.

The 2021 Ohio State football team is still the Big Ten and nationwide power everyone thought they were; don’t let the notch in the loss column fool you. Under head coach Ryan Day, the Buckeyes have sustained the success their fans have become accustomed to.

Overall, Day is 26-3 as the Buckeyes head coach. He has won two Big Ten championships and appeared in the College Football Playoff in both of his seasons as head coach. The Buckeyes have started the 2021 season with a 3-1 record and are currently ranked No. 10 in the latest USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Now, the Buckeyes travel to Piscataway, N.J. to take on host Rutgers in a Big Ten matchup and Day met with the media before hitting the road. Here are some highlights. Click for the next page for some highlights from his press conference on Tuesday.

Bubba Watson, caddie Ted Scott split up ‘after 15 incredible years’

Caddie Ted Scott was on the bag for each of Bubba Watson’s 12 PGA Tour title, but discussions about golf and life led to a parting of ways.

They’re still friends, Bubba Watson insists, but on Thursday night the booming lefty announced he and long-time caddie Ted Scott were parting ways.

Watson called it an “incredible 15 years together” in a social media post. Watson joined the PGA Tour in 2006 and has 12 victories, including the 2012 and 2014 Masters. Scott was on the bag for all of them.

It was the second big player/caddie split of the day, as a Golf Channel report earlier Thursday said Jim “Bones” Mackay accepted a full-time gig to work for Justin Thomas.

As for the Watson/Scott split, Bubba wrote that it only came about after some “deep talks” not only about golf but life.

Watson said, “Teddy deserves more credit than anyone can imagine for our success on the golf course” and called it a “blessing and privilege” to have him there all these years.

Watson has been known for swinging a pink Ping driver, but golf fans also know he and Scott share an affinity for footwear, be it Watson’s shoes or Scott’s socks. No word yet on who Watson plans to replace him with or what Scott intends to do next.

Watch: Trevor Lawrence displays athleticism to put Jags up 14-0

Trevor Lawrence left Week 3’s game with a bad taste in his mouth and it’s showing in his improved play vs. the Bengals.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got up early in their primetime battle with the Cincinnati Bengals through a 6-yard rush by running back James Robinson to cap off an eight-play drive in the first quarter. However, they didn’t want to stop there  and struck again for seven more in a 12-play drive in the second quarter.

This particular drive was mostly led by rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Robinson, though others like tight ends Dan Arnold and Chris Manhertz, as well as veteran receiver Marvin Jones Jr. were a few others to get involved. Ultimately, the Jags ended up in a third-and-three situation where Lawrence’s number was called and he dazzled in the process, juking his way past defensive end Sam Hubbard and making a break for the end zone.

As a result, the Jags went up 14-0.

Many had been wanting to see the Jags use Lawrence’s athleticism more (but wisely) and they are getting their wishes. Now, with another full half to be played, the Jags need to continue their dominance on both ends and put together a complete game.
