Watch: Trevor Lawrence displays athleticism to put Jags up 14-0

Trevor Lawrence left Week 3’s game with a bad taste in his mouth and it’s showing in his improved play vs. the Bengals.

The Jacksonville Jaguars got up early in their primetime battle with the Cincinnati Bengals through a 6-yard rush by running back James Robinson to cap off an eight-play drive in the first quarter. However, they didn’t want to stop there  and struck again for seven more in a 12-play drive in the second quarter.

This particular drive was mostly led by rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Robinson, though others like tight ends Dan Arnold and Chris Manhertz, as well as veteran receiver Marvin Jones Jr. were a few others to get involved. Ultimately, the Jags ended up in a third-and-three situation where Lawrence’s number was called and he dazzled in the process, juking his way past defensive end Sam Hubbard and making a break for the end zone.

As a result, the Jags went up 14-0.

Many had been wanting to see the Jags use Lawrence’s athleticism more (but wisely) and they are getting their wishes. Now, with another full half to be played, the Jags need to continue their dominance on both ends and put together a complete game.
