What to know about the 5 biggest causes of E.D.

While medications may offer a solution to Erectile Dysfunction, they don’t answer the question Why?

Erectile Dysfunction, or E.D., has been purported to affect around 30-million men in the United States alone. The impact of Erectile Dysfunction can be psychologically severe, leading to a damaged sex life, lower self-esteem, strained relationships, anxiety, and more. Thankfully some medications can help. The problem with E.D. medications for some men, though, is that they’re inconvenient, too expensive, or, more often, too embarrassed to go in for a doctor’s appointment, describe their symptoms drop off, and finally pick up a prescription. Frankly, the whole affair is, at best, uncomfortable and, at worst, a massively embarrassing inconvenience.

That’s where Erectile Dysfunction brands like Rex MD come in. Rex MD offers premium, prescription E.D. medications that can be purchased online and discreetly delivered right to your doorstep.

While medications may offer a solution to Erectile Dysfunction, they don’t answer the question Why? As in, why does E.D. occur? Here are five of the primary causes of Erectile Dysfunction.

Kate Smith leads suspended Augusta National Women’s Amateur on a week where she has ‘everything to gain’

The first round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur was suspended because of weather, but Kate Smith had plenty of time to make her move.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The tears have flowed for Kate Smith this week. It seems that no amount of preparation for competing in a tournament she’s coveted for three years could stop that.

But the floodgates were open in another way on Wednesday at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, too. Once she poured in a birdie putt on the second hole at Champions Retreat, it opened the door to three more in the next nine holes. Smith’s day ended at the sound of a weather horn, as she faced an uphill 7-footer for par on the par-4 12th.

A downpour washed out the rest of the day, with 29 players in the 82-woman field still to finish.

By that time, Smith, playing in the final group out, had a three-shot lead. Normally, it would be a disappointing run to see end, but not here.

“This week, everything has been so awesome I’m just excited for another day here, another day to go low and make some putts,” said Smith, who is completing a fifth year for Nebraska while she completes a graphic design degree.

This is the kind of perspective that comes with an unexpected fifth year in college, a big opportunity and perhaps women’s golf biggest spotlight. The day before Smith played her way into the lead, she and the rest of the field piled into a fleet of charter buses for a trip down Magnolia Lane to Augusta National and dinner with Chairman Fred Ridley.

“I’ve cried off and on the last two weeks just knowing I’m (coming) here,” Smith said, admitting it’s an emotion that’s part happiness, part anxiousness. “Probably the best moment of my life so far. Kind of everything to gain this week.”

But credit Smith for dedicating energy to her mental game in the weeks leading up to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, too. The 21-year-old repeated a mantra to prepare herself. She wanted to focus less on making the 36-hole cut and more on actually competing.

You can win this event. You can be up there. You’re just as good as everyone else.

Smith first got the call that she was in consideration for this field in November, after a rough week playing a tournament in Waco, Texas. It was an instant mood-lifter, given that Smith recalls exactly where she was sitting and exactly what went through her head the minute she heard about the creation of the ANWA in April 2018.

“It meant more to me than I thought, sub-consciously,” Smith told Golfweek in January. “I think I put the pedal to the metal in my competition schedule and practice schedule.”

As it turns out, Smith earned her way in as one of 30 top-ranked Americans. She was the last player in through that category with a year-end world ranking of No. 161 in 2020.

She played back-to-back tournaments in Florida to start 2021, finishing 12th at the prestigious Sally Amateur – a huge boost for a Midwesterner who generally puts the clubs away in the winter – and won her first college title two weeks before the ANWA. This is the biggest stage she’s competed on, following her maiden U.S. Women’s Amateur appearance in August.

To hear her older brother and caddie Karter, a former college golfer at Drake who now works for a business consulting company in Des Moines, Iowa, tell it, Kate’s mental preparation worked. Kate’s warm-up was solid on Wednesday afternoon, the first tee shot pure.

“She’s one that has a lot of confidence no matter what stage she plays on,” Karter said, “and I really appreciate that about watching her.”

Champions Retreat played long in the first round and the greens were firm. Only six players are under par, and only two of those players have finished their round. The first round will resume at 7:45 a.m., along with the second round, with players keeping their pairings and tee times from the first round.

Smith said her ballstriking, particularly with her long irons, carried her. There’s no reason to change the gameplan now, and certainly no reason to overthink it.

“Why ruin a week by putting pressure on yourself?” she said. “That was my mindset today.”

Patricio ‘Pitbull’ deems Bellator 255 ‘just the beginning’ of an even more dominant reign

If you like violence, Patricio Freire says he has something in store for you at Bellator 255.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – [autotag]Patricio Freire[/autotag] has been with Bellator for more than a decade, but the promotion’s lightweight and featherweight champion thinks it’s only the beginning.

“Pitbull,” who was recently voted the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the promotion, headlines Bellator 255 on Friday against Emmanuel Sanchez.

Although the respect he thinks he deserves is being generated, there’s the potential for even more gain. In fact, Freire (31-4 MMA, 19-4 BMMA) is viewing his Bellator featherweight grand prix semifinal as the start of an even bigger and better chapter in his career.

“It’s great to be recognized, first by the company and soon the public,” Freire told MMA Junkie through an interpreter on Wednesday. “… For me, this is only the beginning. I’ve had this programmed since I started in this MMA game. I’m here to break all the records. This is just the beginning for Patricio ‘Pitbull.'”

Freire, 33, has a stiff test in front of him as he faces Sanchez (20-4 MMA, 12-3 BMMA) for the second time. The two featherweights squared off at Bellator 209 in November 2018, with Freire winning a unanimous decision. The fight was back-and-forth and action-packed and earned high praise from promotion president Scott Coker.

“This guy puts more pressure than anybody I’ve ever felt,” Freire said. “He puts a lot of pressure on this game. He’s a warrior and he always brings the war. It’s not a diss on him. This guy comes to fight and I have not underestimated him.”

[lawrence-related id=599755,599611]

Should he get through Sanchez, Freire will face off with A.J. McKee, who has already advanced to the grand prix final. Freire and McKee (17-0 MMA, 17-0 BMMA) have long exchanged words through social media and interviews. Knowing that a grudge match awaits him on the other side makes Freire even more eager to secure his place in the finals of the 16-man tournament.

“It’s always great to beat someone that’s undefeated, a guy who is in the finals in A.J. McKee,” Freire said. “However, this is my division, my belt, my grand prix, my million dollars, my legend. The only thing he’s missing as an undefeated fighter is a defeat. I’m going to be the one to give it to him. Everyone will know once I beat him, I’m the best fighter in the world.”

In order to get to McKee, Freire needs to take care of business on Friday. If you enjoy action-packed fights, Freire says his rematch vs. Sanchez will deliver the goods.

“If you guys like violence, stay tuned because this will be one of the most violent wars of the year,” Freire said.

Bellator 255 takes place Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The entire card streams on MMA Junkie.

Rockets to experiment with playing Christian Wood, Kelly Olynyk together

Starting with Wednesday’s game at Brooklyn, Houston plans to have stretches where both centers play simultaneously, per Stephen Silas.

Early in the 2020-21 season, Houston Rockets head coach Stephen Silas referenced the possibility of playing centers Christian Wood and DeMarcus Cousins together. However, it only happened for six minutes.

The team never gave a detailed explanation for its eventual change in plans, but the most simple one is similar to why Cousins was eventually released. At 30 years old and coming off several serious leg injuries, Cousins didn’t move well, defensively — and playing Wood at power forward and Cousins at center would have severely compromised Houston’s agility and versatility on the perimeter.

That doesn’t mean the Rockets are giving up on the idea of pairing Wood with a second big man, though. They’d just like for that big alongside Wood in those lineups to have more mobility. That’s where recent trade acquisition Kelly Olynyk comes in.

After being traded to Houston from Miami in the deal that sent out Victor Oladipo, Olynyk started in place of Wood, who was out with a sore ankle and then due to illness. With Wood back in the lineup on Wednesday in Brooklyn, Olynyk returned to his expected role as a reserve.

But in pregame comments, Silas told reporters that there would be stretches where the two centers would play together.

I want to see them together, for not a long stretch, but a good amount of time.

When Christian goes out, Kelly can play the five. And then when Kelly goes out, Christian plays the five. Then Jae’Sean goes out, Kelly plays the four, and Christian plays the five, together. That’s kind of how I have it, in my mind.

The first sub might be where Jae’Sean goes out, and we have Kelly go out there with Christian. And let’s see what it looks like with both guys on the floor. And then, when Christian goes out, let Kelly play the five by himself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoXHkMofQpc

Silas explained that the designations of who is the “four” and “five,” or power forward and center, were often interchangeable.

It’s very dependent on how they guard. If X five is guarding either guy, that’s a way we can draw a second defender. If it’s the four man, we may see some switching. So, who’s the four and who’s the five, on offense, kind of depends on how they’re guarding. But our offense is very much interchangeable, so that guys can be anywhere on the floor. As long as we’re five-out, I’m good. …

Kelly’s so versatile, and Christian’s so versatile. To have those guys out there together, makes sense to me. … I just see it, right now, as two versatile guys who are big and can put pressure on the defense, and also help our rebounding on the defensive end.

While Silas said his primary focus is on winning games in the short-term, whether the Wood-Olynyk lineups are successful could also have significant longer-term implications. For example, as general manager Rafael Stone indicated earlier this week, Houston has Bird rights to potentially help retain Olynyk once he becomes a free agent this offseason — and whether he’s able to play alongside Wood, who is the organization’s best player, could raise or limit Olynyk’s value to Houston.

Second, the success or failure of Wood alongside a more traditional big man could offer clues as to how viable dual-big lineups with Wood could be, in general. Hypothetically, if the Rockets ended up in a spot to potentially select University of Southern California (USC) center Evan Mobley in the NBA’s 2021 draft, it could be a useful case study.

The Rockets wanted to begin that type of case study with Wood and Cousins, but determined it wasn’t worth the effort. With Wood and Olynyk, it sounds as if the organization is ready to find out.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard takes it all in during Augusta National Women’s Amateur opener

Like many, South Carolina’s Paula Roussin-Bouchard is struggling with finding the sweet spot between doing well and soaking up the event.

[mm-video type=playlist id=01es6rjnsp3c84zkm6 player_id=none image=https://golfweek.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard’s first round at Champions Retreat didn’t end the way she wanted, but she’s still very much in the running for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur title.

The 20-year-old carded a 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday, struggling with the wind all day. She uncharacteristically finished 2-over on par-5s, but also struggled getting putts to drop.

“It was a tough day for me. I handled the par-5s really, really badly. I left a couple shots (on the table) and it was really tough out there with the wind, so I enjoyed playing but it’s a little bit frustrating to end with a bogey on a par-5,” she said. “I hit a lot of good shots and I didn’t hole any putts. I only had one birdie and then had a couple that were really close, and none of them went in. I guess these greens are very, very difficult and with the wind, it was even more difficult. That’s the reason why there are no very low scores.”

Roussin-Bouchard has more length to her game than most in the field. She added she went for the green in two on all except No. 9, because she missed her drive. The mix of windy conditions and firm greens Wednesday was tough on most of the field.

Like many, she’s struggling with finding the sweet spot between wanting to do well and soak in all this event has to offer.

“I’ve been struggling thinking about how I want to do well in the tournament, but at the same time wanting to enjoy it,” she said. “There is so much more than the game of golf right now. There’s friendship, being in Augusta and it’s all part of a long journey and I have to stay patient. Sometimes that’s hard to see.”

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard on the 18th green during the first round of the 2021 Augusta National Women’s Amateur at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Ga., Wednesday morning March 31, 2021. (Michael Holahan, The Augusta Chronicle)

Luckily for Roussin-Bouchard, she’s not in it alone.

The University of South Carolina has the second-highest representation with four in the field (USC has six). Roussin-Bouchard is joined by her teammates Paula Kirner, Pimnipa Panthong and Ana Palaez Trivino. That news is hardly a surprise, as the Gamecocks sit atop Golfweek’s Women’s Team Collegiate Rankings.

She just missed qualifying for the 2019 ANWA, improving her world ranking just days after the cutoff date. She was No. 4 in the world at this time last year and continues to improve the finer details in her game. She pointed to the mental aspect of her game as the one that grew the most.

“During the last two years it was about working on my behavior and handling my emotions. I’m still struggling sometimes through some mental mistakes. At some point you grow up a little bit and it allows you have a different perspective on the mental aspect of golf,” she said. “Sometimes it can give you a little more pressure and sometimes I would get too mad. I would keep losing shots instead of limiting to pars, or sometimes bogeys when necessary.”

This week was a year in the making for Roussin-Bouchard. When the sports world shut down, she found herself quarantining at her home in France.

“It was pretty hard because everything got canceled at the same time. We went from having a full season of golf and suddenly, nothing. I had to go back to France, so it was a little bit sudden.”

What a difference a year makes. Roussin-Bouchard helped lead South Carolina to a No. 1 ranking and made her first start in the premier women’s amateur golf tournament. Just shots off the lead heading into the second round, she’s not done yet.

The tournament continues Thursday after the first round was suspended for inclement weather late Wednesday afternoon.

The Browns wanted to select Mitchell Trubisky with 1st overall pick in 2017 NFL Draft

Former Browns HC Hue Jackson confirmed Cleveland wanted to select former Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky with the first overall pick in 2017.

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbve7kb6he6scwe player_id=none image=https://bearswire.usatoday.com/wp-content/plugins/mm-video/images/playlist-icon.png]

Although quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is no longer a member of the Chicago Bears, the 2017 NFL Draft will forever be a talking point when it comes to missed opportunities for Bears GM Ryan Pace.

The decision to not only select Trubisky, but to move up one spot and trade draft assets has been the biggest mark against him during his tenure as general manager. But the decision was almost taken out of his hands completely, thanks to the Cleveland Browns.

Former Browns head coach Hue Jackson joined NFL insider Mike Silver and his daughter Natalie on the Pass it Down podcast to talk about the 2017 NFL Draft. The Browns were picking first overall and wound up with Pro Bowl defensive end Myles Garrett. Jackson explained that he was all-in on Garrett from the start, but said the Browns front office wanted to go in a different direction.

“At the time, there was divide between who should be the first pick,” Jackson said. “I wanted Myles Garrett and I’m an offensive coach. I didn’t think there was a quarterback worth being the first pick in the draft.”

Jackson, who coached the Browns from 2016-2018 and compiled a 3-36-1 record, went on to describe why he was enamored with Garrett. He then explains the front office wanted to select Trubisky instead.

“I was lock and barrel on Myles Garrett,” he said. “But there were others that were lock and barrel on Mitchell Trubisky and me being a quarterback guy, I did not want that. I liked Mitchell, but I didn’t think he was the first pick of the draft at quarterback. There were some rumblings about that and I think everybody knew that. There was truly divide. But the day of the draft, we obviously ended up picking Myles and rightfully so.”

During the pre-draft process, many experts believed the Browns would wind up taking Garrett, but those rumblings about Trubisky were always prevalent. Even after the draft, insiders believed the Browns were gearing up to trade up for Trubisky after picking Garrett, but the Bears beat them to it.

Interestingly enough, Jackson also said he didn’t find out Garrett was their pick until the day before the draft, which is a similar approach Pace took with the Bears when he reportedly refused to tell his coaching staff who he was selecting until the day of.

Chicago traded up one spot with the San Francisco 49ers to select Trubisky, and the rest is history. But if the Browns front office had their way, the entire landscape of the NFL could be drastically different. Instead, Garrett has become one of the best defensive players in the league for the Browns and Trubisky is now on the Buffalo Bills as a backup after a tumultuous career in Chicago.

Would the Bears have selected another quarterback if Trubisky wound up with the Browns? We’ll never truly know the answer, but Cleveland’s front office almost made us find out.

Khabib Nurmagomedov wishes Tony Ferguson well at UFC 262: ‘Even though you look like a sh*t’

Khabib Nurmagomedov finally responded to Tony Ferguson’s frequent messages about a fight between them going down sometime in the future.

[autotag]Khabib Nurmagomedov[/autotag] finally responded to [autotag]Tony Ferguson[/autotag]’s frequent messages about a fight between them going down sometime in the future.

Nurmagomedov (29-0 MMA, 13-0 UFC) and Ferguson (25-5 MMA, 15-3 UFC) have one of the most notable rivalries in UFC history that never resulted in a fight. The pair were scheduled to share the octagon five times from 2015-2020, but each time something came up that prevented it from happening.

Now Nurmagomedov is retired from MMA competition, vacating the UFC lightweight title he held for multiple years. All signs point to him sticking true to his decision to hang up the gloves, meaning a fight with Ferguson will never materialize.

Still, though, that hasn’t stopped Ferguson from mentioning it and showing confidence he’ll eventually get his hands on Nurmagomedov (via Twitter):

“Tira🍮Misu On 2” 🏈 # You’ll SeeMeSoonEnoughBuddy ⚔️🕶 -CSO- 🇺🇸🏆🇲🇽 # 🔱 Called It. # ConditioningSucks # KeepRunningFathead -Champ 👣

It’s not the first time Ferguson has gone after Nurmagomedov online since his final fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in September. “The Eagle” has remained quite in response to his rival, but on Wednesday he came forward.

Ferguson has a critical fight in his career booked against Beneil Dariush at UFC 262 on May 15 in Houston. “El Cucuy” enters the bout on a two-fight losing skid, and if the former interim lightweight titleholder wants to reclaim his former glory, a win is a must.

Nurmagomedov reminded Ferguson of as much, and gave him well wishes before sending him off with an insult.

You have a fight soon, your opponent is very tough and most underestimated in lightweight division, focus on him. I wish you and your family best, even though you look like a shit.
