Things hit the fan quick
Like many Bills fans, life hit Beane quickly when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Where was Beane when things hit? Like everyone else, he was working, and things took a sharp turn.
“We were at the combine five, six weeks ago and I don’t think anybody saw this coming at all, it seemed like it was a distant problem,” Beane said. “I was traveling to pro days and then, I was at Clemson, and then literally things just started changing. Not by the hour, but by the minute. We went from going to pro days to, three hours later, I was getting my guys off the road and trying to figure out how I was going to get home. It just kept changing by the minute,” Beane said.
The Bills, like everyone else in and out of football, are admitting they’re not sure what to expect moving forward, either.
“We’ll be ready for whatever hand we’re dealt,” Beane said. “We have to plan for the unknown.”
