DJ Reader is among the better defensive tackles on the market and not really an “under the radar” guy, but like Kirksey, the Bills have been connected to him. The Houston Chronicle says the Bills are interested.
Reader has been incredibly health in his career, playing in at least 14 games in all four of his seasons. The Bills have already invested heavily in their defensive line, with Star Lotulelei previous signing a five-year, $50 million contract, along with investing a first-round pick in Ed Oliver at last year’s draft. Spotrac estimates his salary to be $11.9 million per season. We’ll have to see if the Bills would actually invest that heavily in the position after already do some with other players. The 25-year-old has 4.5 of his 6.5 career sacks over the past two seasons alone.
