DE Vic Beasley
Stats: 78 games played, 156 tackles, 37.5 sacks, 12 passes defended, 1 interception, 11 forced fumbles
The Bills are into “prove-it” deals. They’ve done so very recently and throughout Sean McDermott’s tenure with the team. No one would be more of a prove it player than Beasley.
He was outstanding in 2016 when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl, leading the NFL with 15.5 sacks and garnering All-Pro honors. But aside from that, he’s been kind of brutal until this past year. In 2019, he had a solid eight sacks, but the ups and downs in his career could be alarming for teams. But with that in mind, there’s no way he would command a massive deal in free agency. Spotrac reflects that with a $7.3 million estimation for his next contract. With the Bills’ near $80 million in salary cap space, that’s certainly something they can roll the dice on. If Beasley has even an eight-sack season, that’d be big for the Bills, who had 6.5 from Shaq Lawson to lead their defensive ends last season.
