No extension talks for Dolphins-Matt Breida yet
The Dolphins revamped a lot of their offense ahead of the 2020 season. As part of that was a trade: A fifth-round pick was sent to the 49ers for running back Matt Breida. The Bills will have to contain him and Jordan Howard, who signed with Miami this offseason, once next season begins.
In regard to Breida, he’s only under contract for the 2020 season. The Dolphins acquired him after the 49ers inked him to a one-year restricted free agent tender earlier this offseason. According to the Miami Herald, Breida has yet to have any contract extension talks with their new running back. It appears the Dolphins could be waiting to see what Breida can do for the new-look Dolphins running game before having any such talks.
