1963: Texas 28, Oklahoma 7
The 1963 game featured #1 Oklahoma versus #2 Texas, the seventh regular-season 1-2 game (eighth, overall) in the history of the AP Poll. Texas won and the kept the top spot for the rest of the season, winning its first national championship. Coach Darrell Royal (pictured, left) led the Longhorns to an easy win over the opposing Sooners, with running back Tommy Ford paving way for the victory with 77 yards and a touchdown.
