Xavier McKinney injured in ATV accident, out for a few weeks

New York Giants place Xavier McKinney on Reserve/Non-Football Injury list

While away on a vacation in Cabo, Mexico New York Giants safety, [autotag]Xavier McKinney[/autotag], suffered a hand injury while riding on an ATV which will keep him off the field for a few weeks.

The former Crimson Tide stand-out has been a key piece of the Giants’ early success this season as they have raced out to a shocking 6-2 record.

As a result of the injury, the Giants have placed McKinney on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list which means that at a minimum he will be likely out for Weeks 10-13.

Week 9 of the NFL season is wrapping up tonight with Monday Night Football so there is hope that McKinney would be able to return in time for the playoffs.

The Giants have been outstanding to start the year under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. Daboll’s name may sound familiar to Tide fans, and that is because he was the offensive coordinator for Alabama in 2017 and won a national championship.

It’s cool to see these two guys who were in Tuscaloosa together succeed on the biggest stage.
